Klímaaktivisták akciója miatt a rendőrség péntek reggel leállította a folyami közlekedést a Rajnán Baselnél – közölték a helyi hatóságok.
A kantoni rendőrség szóvivője a Keystone-ATS ügynökségnek elmondta, hogy a helyzetet figyelemmel kísérik, hogy senki ne sérüljön meg. Mintegy tíz aktivista a város szívében lévő Dreirosenbrücke nevű hídnál igyekezett megzavarni az üzemanyag-szállítást a Rajnán, Európa egyik fő folyami kereskedelmi útvonalán.
A tiltakozók közül hatan leereszkedtek a hídról. Két transzparenst bontottak ki; az egyiken a „Szabad mozgást az embereknek, nem pedig az olajszállítóknak” felirat áll, a másik egy stoptáblát ábrázol.
Az akció nem sokkal hét óra után még mindig tartott, és a folyami közlekedés egyelőre szünetel.
