Egy informatikai szolgáltatót ért kibertámadás miatt 1,5 millió svéd személyes adatai kerültek nyilvánosságra – közölte kedden a svéd ügyészség.
A tájékoztatás szerint az adatszivárgás a Miljödata rendszerszolgáltató vállalatnál történt az augusztus 23-24-i hétvégén, érintettek pedig mindenekelőtt önkormányzatok és magánvállalkozások voltak. Összesen mintegy 1,5 millió svéd személyes adatai kerültek nyilvánosságra.
Sandra Helgadottir ügyész szerint még folyamatban van a kibertámadás kivizsgálása, amelynek elkövetőjeként egy Datacarry nevű csapat jelentkezett. Helgadottir közölte, hogy a nyomozás most az elkövetők azonosítására összpontosít.
Jelenleg nincs arra utaló jel, hogy egy külföldi hatalom részes lett volna ebben – tette hozzá.
A svéd sajtó arról számolt be, hogy a hackerek 1,5 bitcoint követeltek és az adathalmaz közzétételével fenyegettek. A Miljödata a hétvégén közölte, hogy az adatok végül közzé lettek téve a darkneten, vagyis az internet különleges titkosító technológiákkal működő, főleg bűnözők által használt részén. Az adatok főleg neveket, lakcímeket és kapcsolattartási információkat tartalmaznak, és a 10,6 milliós svéd lakosság nagyjából 15 százalékát érintik.
A svéd adatvédelmi hatóság szerint legalább 164 városi önkormányzat és 4 regionális hatóság is érintett volt. Az SVT közszolgálati televízió szerint Göteborg városát különösen sújtotta az adatlopás, de olyan cégek is megsínylették, mint a Volvo és az SAS légitársaság.

Tavaly 4,6 milliárd dollárnyi veszteséget okoztak világszerte a mesterséges intelligencia által támogatott kriptovaluta-csalások – derül ki a Bitget kriptotőzsde, a SlowMist és az Elliptic blokkláncbiztonsági cégek közös jelentéséből.
Az MTI-nek küldött közleményben kiemelték: a kiadvány publikálásával egy időben elindult a Bitget egy hónapon át tartó kampánya, amelynek célja a felhasználók biztonságtudatának növelése.
Az elemzés szerint az MI-alapú csalások túlmutatnak a hagyományos adathalász e-maileken: megjelentek a hamis Zoom-hívások, közéleti szereplőkről készített hamis (deepfake) videók, trójai vírussal fertőzött álláshirdetések, és jelentős pénzügyi károkat okoznak a piramisjáték-szerű pénzügyi csalások (Ponzi-sémák).
A jelentésben nagyszabású csalásokról mutatnak be esettanulmányokat, és szervezetten működő nemzetközi csalóbandák működését is elemzik, illetve részletesen kitérnek arra is, hogyan használják a csalók a Telegram és az X komment szekcióit adathalász célokra.
A tájékoztatás szerint a tanulmányban részletesen bemutatják, hogyan mossák tisztára a csalók az ellopott kriptovalutákat bonyolult útvonalakon keresztül, ezzel megnehezítve a hatósági fellépést és az eszközök visszaszerzését – írja az MTI.
A közleményben idézik Gracy Chent, a Bitget vezérigazgatóját, aki szerint a legnagyobb veszély ma nem a kriptoeszközök volatilitása, hanem a megtévesztés.
A mesterséges intelligencia révén a csalások gyorsabbak, olcsóbbak és nehezebben felismerhetők, és erre a megoldást a technológiai szigor és az iparági szereplők közötti összefogás jelenti – tette hozzá.

A 28 éves áldozat május elején érkezett az Egyesült Államokba. A hatóságok szerint egyelőre nem világos, hogy honnan ismerte a 37 éves Woeltz-et, aki elrabolta őt. Az akcióban részt vettek mások is, sorozatos kínzások alá vetették az olasz férfit a nyolc hálószobás, elegáns lakásban: megkötözték, megverték, elkábították. Egy alkalommal kilógatták egy párkányon és azzal fenyegették, megölik, ha nem ad hozzáférést a kriptofiókjához.
Pénteken az áldozat közölte elrablójával, hogy megadja a jelszavát, amit egy másik szobában lévő laptopján tárol. Ekkor Woeltz egy pillanatra elfordult, így a fiatal el tudott menekülni, majd az utcán egy rendőrtől kért segítséget. Az áldozatot kórházba szállították.
A hatóságok tájékoztatása alapján a városi ház átkutatása során rengeteg bizonyítékot találtak, többek között kokaint, fűrészt, csirkedrótot, páncélzatot és éjjellátó szemüveget, lőszereket és polaroid fényképeket, amelyeken az áldozatot egy fejéhez szegezett fegyverrel ábrázolták.
Woeltz ellen szombaton emeltek vádat emberrablás, testi sértés, jogtalan fogva tartás és lőfegyver engedély nélküli birtoklása miatt, óvadék nélkül elrendelték az előzetes letartóztatását – erősítette meg szombaton a manhattani kerületi ügyészség szóvivője. A hatóságok úgy gondolják, hogy Woeltz-nek megvannak az eszközei a szökéshez, van magánrepülőgépe, helikoptere. Ám jövő héten ismét a bíróság elé kell állnia.

A terrorhívások Új-Mexikótól Wisconsinig hatalmas területekre terjedtek ki. Egy új-mexikói Krogert például azzal csörgettek meg, hogy utaljon át pénzt, és ha fel meri hívni a rendőrséget, azonnal robban a bomba.
Hasonló esetről számoltak be egy Chicagótól északra fekvő külvárosból is, ahol a The Wall Street Journal szerint egy telefonáló 5000 dollárt követelt bitcoinban az Amazon Whole Foods Market egyik alkalmazottjától, amit azzal nyomatékosított, hogy csőbombát helyeztek el az üzletben.
Az FBI közölte, hogy együttműködik a helyi és állami bűnüldöző szervekkel, és arra kéri a lakosságot, hogy tartsák szemmel a környezetüket, és minden gyanús tevékenységet jelentsenek a bűnüldöző szerveknek – tette hozzá a lap.
A cikk szerint a hatóságok számára egyelőre nem világos, hogy a fenyegetések egy szervezett akció részét képezik-e.

Az ország déli részén, Maastrichtban található egyetem számítógépes rendszereit 2019-ben egy zsarolóprogram zárta le, egy olyan típusú rosszindulatú szoftver, amelyet a hackerek egy bizonyos összeg kifizetése ellenében oldanak fel.
A bűnözők több száz Windows-os szervert és biztonsági mentési rendszert titkosítottak, így 25 ezer diák és alkalmazott nem férhetett hozzá a tudományos adatokhoz, a könyvtárhoz és a levelezéshez – írta a De Volkskrant.
A hackerek 200 ezer eurót követeltek bitcoinban, amit az egyetem egy hét után kifizetett, mert tartott tőle, hogy személyes adatok vesznek el, továbbá a diákok nem tudtak vizsgázni és dolgozatot írni. Az ügyben nyomozó holland rendőrség a kizsarolt váltságdíj egy részét egy ukrajnai, pénzmosással kapcsolatba hozott férfi számlájához tudta kötni. 2020-ban a hatóságok lefoglalták a férfi számláját, amelyen különböző kriptovaluták voltak, köztük a Mastrichti Egyetem által kifizetett összeg egy része is, 40 ezer euró értékben.
A lap szerint a lefoglalt összeg két év után most érkezett meg Hollandiába, ám közben a 40 ezer eurónyi bitcoin értéke félmillió euróra nőtt. Michiel Borgers, a Maastrichti Egyetem tájékoztatási és kommunikációs igazgatója elmondta, hogy a pénzzel az anyagi problémákkal küzdő hallgatóikat akarják segíteni. A De Volkskrant cikke szerint az egyetem elleni számítógépes támadás kivizsgálása még nem zárult le. A kibertámadás mögött álló hackereket még keresik.

Az Elliptic blokklánc-elemző cég friss kutatása szerint a decentralizált pénzügyi platformokon elkövetett csalások és lopások idén eddig 10,5 milliárd dolláros veszteséget okoztak.
A közzétett jelentés szerint az utóbbi évben rengeteg pénz ömlött az úgynevezett DeFi platformokra (decentralizált pénzügyi platformokra), ami a kriptovaluták iránti kirobbanó érdeklődést tükrözi. A DeFi, teljes nevén Decentralized Finance (decentralizált pénzügyek) rövidítése, amely az ethereum és a blokklánc alkalmazások gyűjtőfogalma, amelyek célja a pénzügyi közvetítők (főként pénzügyi intézetek) kizárása a tranzakciókból.
A DeFi platformok lehetővé teszik a felhasználók számára, hogy hitelt adjanak, kölcsönt vegyenek fel vagy takarítsanak meg (általában kriptovaluta formájában), miközben megkerülik a „hagyományos pénzügyi kapuőröket”, például a bankokat. A támogatói szerint a technológia olcsóbb és hatékonyabb hozzáférést kínál a pénzügyi szolgáltatásokhoz, azonban a biztonsági intézkedések még kevéssé kiforrottak. Így nem csoda, hogy a DeFi felhasználók robbanásszerű növekedése együtt járt a fellendülő bűnözéssel is ebben a többnyire szabályozatlan szektorban.
A statisztikák szerint jelenleg 86 milliárd dollár értékű kriptovalutát tárolnak a DeFi platformokon, szemben az egy évvel ezelőtti 12 milliárd dollárral.A felhasználók 2020 óta már több mint 12 milliárd dollárnyi (3907 milliárd forint) veszteséget szenvedtek el a DeFi-alkalmazások, hitelezési platformok és a decentralizált tőzsdék által elkövetett bűncselekmények miatt, és a veszteségek többsége csak 2021-ben jelentkezik.
Ezeket a veszteségeket főként programhibáknak és kódhibáknak, valamint olyan hackelési technikának tulajdonították, amely a DeFi szolgáltatások rendszerében lévő kiskapukon alapul. A tolvajok az iPhone 13-ra húztak fel egy kampányt, azt is ígérve, hogy az adakozók még több pénzt kapnak vissza – nem így lett.
A bitcoinos csalások eddig sem voltak ritkák, de a digitális pénz magas árfolyama miatt egyre több ilyennel találkozni. Egy csoport a nemrég bemutatott iPhone 13-at használta fel egy átveréshez, és sajnos bőven akadtak, akik pórul jártak.
A csalás alapját egy olyan weboldal jelentette, amit a készítők Apple-videókkal raktak tele. A felvételeken a cég vezérigazgatója, Tim Cook is látható volt, emellett képeket is mutattak, elsősorban iPhone-okról. A néző ezáltal abban a hitben lehetett, hogy egy termékbemutatóba csöppent, de ilyenről nem volt szó.
A portálon idővel megjelent egy felhívás, melyben azt ecsetelték, hogy egy soha vissza nem térő alkalom miatt most minden befizető pénzét megduplázzák. Az Apple-től származó felvételek láttán pedig sokaknak tűnt úgy, hogy az akciót maga az iPhone-gyártó hirdeti, de ez sem volt igaz.
A csalók bitcoint kértek, és többen adakoztak is. Pénzt azonban senki nem kapott vissza.
A Zscaler jelentése szerint mire bárki gyanakodni kezdett, a bűnözők összesen 69 ezer dollárnyi valutát gyűjtöttek, melyet valószínűleg soha nem kapnak vissza.

Ezrek tüntettek Salvadorban Nayib Bukele elnök ellen még szerdán, akit azzal vádolnak, hogy meggyengíti a latin-amerikai ország demokratikus intézményeit saját hatalmának biztosítása érdekében.
A megmozdulások mindenekelőtt az államfő azon terve ellen irányultak, hogy az ország törvényes fizetőeszközévé akarja tenni az amerikai dollár mellett a bitcoin kriptovalutát.
A tiltakozások másik apropója, hogy Bukele még májusban menesztette az alkotmánybíróság tagjait és az akkori főügyészt is, helyükre pedig hozzá közel álló embereket ültetett, ami nemcsak az Egyesült Államok, de a nemzetközi jogvédő csoportok bírálatát is kiváltotta. A megmozdulások résztvevői egy bírósági ítélet ellen is tiltakoznak, amely lehetővé teszi, hogy az államfő két egymást követő hivatali időt töltsön tisztségében. Mindez megnyitja Bukele előtt a lehetőséget, hogy 2024-ben indulhasson az újraválasztásáért.
„Fontos kijelenteni, hogy elég volt! A kormány fennhéjázó, autokrata módon cselekszik” – jelentette ki Dora Rivera, a tiltakozók egyike.
A szervezők és hírügynökségek szerint mintegy 4500-an vonultak az utcákra a 6,5 millió lakosú országban, voltak köztük szakszervezetisek, egyetemi diákok, egészségügyi dolgozók, földművesek, ügyvédek, LMBTQ-csoportok és őslakos közösségek, valamint a politikai ellenzék tagjai is.
Az elnök lemondását követelő aktivisták „Bukele egy diktátor” feliratú transzparensekkel vonultak fel, és tönkretettek egy bankautomatát is, amely bitcoint vált amerikai dollárra.
Ugyanakkor a La Prensa Gráfica című helyi lap megbízásából augusztus végén elvégzett országos felmérésben a nagyjából 1500 megkérdezett 85,7 százaléka támogatta az elnököt.

A világ egyik legjelentősebb elektronikai gyártója a Foxconn, üzemeiben készülnek többek között Apple, Nokia és Xiaomi telefonok, processzorfoglalatok és sok más eszköz. Ezért is lehet nagy gond, hogy hackerek sikerrel támadták meg a cég szervereit, és rengeteg adatot loptak.
Súlyos kiberbiztonsági incidens történt az elektronikai óriás Foxconn mexikói üzemében – írta a Bleeping Computer a birtokába jutott információk alapján. A techportál úgy tudja: a cég rendszerét egy trükkös zsarolóvírussal fertőzték meg hackerek.
Az incidens előzménye az volt, hogy a mexikói egység weboldala egyszer csak elérhetetlenné vált. A zsarolók ezután különféle üzenetekkel bombázták a céget számítógépeiken keresztül, hangsúlyozva, hogy 100 gigabájtnyi adatot azonnal zároltak, 10-20 TB-nyi biztonsági mentést pedig már le is töröltek.
A támadók állítólag 34 millió dollárnyi bitcoint (ez több mint 10 milliárd forintot jelent) követeltek azért a kulcsért, amellyel a Foxconn illetékesei hozzáférhetnek a zárolt adatcsomaghoz. A hackerek a DoppelPaymer nevű kártevővel dolgoztak.
A Foxconn elismerte a támadás tényét, valamint azt, hogy utána rendszerekeit csak szakaszosan tudta visszaállítani. Az elektronikai óriás arról is tájékoztatott, hogy haladéktalanul vizsgálatot indított az ügyben. A közleményben arról ugyanakkor nem közölt semmit a Foxconn, hogy végül fizetett-e a támadóknak az adatcsomag visszaszerzéséért. Ez azért is lényeges, mert ha a hackerek máshogy nem döntenek, a zárolt adatok – a határidő lejárta után – megsemmisülhetnek, további kárt okozva a megtámadott cégnek.
