A halálos áldozatok mellett öten súlyosan megsérültek vasárnap egy észak-belgiumi autópályán történt buszbalesetben, a sofőr kábítószertesztje pozitív lett – közölte a La Libre Belgique című, francia nyelvű belga napilap vasárnap az MTI információi szerint.
Sandra Eyschen, a belga szövetségi rendőrség szóvivője arról tájékoztatott, hogy a francia BlaBlaCar nevű fuvarmegosztó szolgáltatás távolsági autóbusza az észak-belgiumi Antwerpent a hollandiai Bredával összekötő E19-es autópályán kora délután szenvedett balesetet.
Az Amszterdamból Párizsba közlekedő, francia rendszámú jármű egyelőre tisztázatlan okból tért le az autópályájáról, majd az oldalára fordult, ablakai betörtek. A pályaszakaszt teljesen lezárták, hosszú autósorok alakultak ki.
Az Antwerpen közelében felborult busz 30, főként francia és spanyol állampolgárságú utast szállított. Az antwerpeni ügyészség tájékoztatása szerint a sofőr kábítószertesztje pozitív lett. A 35 éves, francia állampolgárságú buszvezetőt előállították.
