Британська активістка руху Black Lives Matter (BLM, Життя чорних важливі) Саша Джонсон у неділю на світанку була важко поранена в голову на півдні Лондона й доставлена в лікарню.
Про це повідомила британська організація Taking the Initiative Party (TTIP), яка співпрацює з BLM. Джонсон є активним членом TTIP, першої британської політичної партії, очолюваної чорношкірими. Молода жінка закінчила Оксфордський університет Брукса і стала відомою як одна з організаторів демонстрацій BLM у зв’язку з убивством Джорджа Флойда. Після цього вона почала активно займатися політикою.
Taking the Initiative Party називає себе політичною організацією, яка створена аполітичними бізнесменами. Вона вважає, що бізнес-сектор відіграє важливу позитивну роль у суспільстві завдяки підприємництву, працевлаштуванню та відповідальності.
На своїй сторінці в соцмережі Instagram партія підтвердила, що жертвою нападу стала Саша Джонсон, яка має двох дітей. За даними організації, вона була поранена голову й зараз перебуває в реанімації. 27-річна активістка є членом руху Black Lives Matter та партії Taking the Initiative Party. Вона бореться з несправедливістю щодо чорношкірих і отримує чимало погроз за свою діяльність, зазначили в партії.
Однак, як повідомив у понеділок Скотланд-Ярд, хоча розслідування ще на початковій стадії, немає жодних ознак та доказів того, що жертва отримувала якісь погрози до інциденту й була мішенню цілеспрямованого нападу.
За даними лондонської поліції, усе сталося біля будівлі, де відбувалася вечірка, до того ж у районі було багато людей. Скотланд-Ярд просить учасників заходу зв’язатися з правоохоронцями, якщо вони мають якусь інформацію про інцидент.
