Izrael arról számolt be, hogy jemeni húszi lázadók átvették az irányítást egy Nagy-Britannia tulajdonában lévő és Japán által üzemeltetett teherhajó felett a Vörös-tenger déli részén.
Az izraeli kormány az incidenst iráni terrorcselekménynek nevezte.
Az Irán-proxynak tartott jemeni húszik nagy hatótávolságú rakétákkal és drónokkal támadják Izraelt, mióta a zsidó állam hadműveleteket folytat a Gázai övezetben.
A lázadók vezetője a múlt héten bejelentette, hogy további támadásokat tervez Izrael ellen, beleértve a Vörös-tengeren és a Báb al-Mandeb-szorosban lévő izraeli hajók elleni akciókat.
