A hatóságokat arról értesítették a járókelők, hogy egy élettelen testre bukkantak az út szélén. A helyszínre azonnal kiérkezett az operatív csoport, akik megállapították, hogy a baleset hajnali 5 körül történt, a térfigyelő kamerák segítségével pedig rábukkantak a 49 éves újdávidházi lakosra, aki Renault Master teherautójával gázolta el az áldozatot.
Előzetes letartóztatásba helyezték, az ügyben eljárást indítottak.

A napokban kora reggel érkezett bejelentés a Lemberg megyei rendőrséghez, miszerint Szamborban, a Sevcsenko utcán egy ismeretlen sofőr elgázolt egy 60-70 év körüli kerékpárost, majd elmenekült a helyszínről.
Az áldozat a helyszínen belehalt sérüléseibe, a hatóságok azonnal megkezdték a tettes körözését. A térfigyelő kamerák segítségével rövid időn belül rátaláltak a 32 éves kárpátaljai férfit, aki Mercedes-Benz Sprinter típusú járművével okozott halálos sérülést a biciklisnek.

Lengyelországban a mazóviai vajdasághoz tartozó Nowe Myasto város polgármestere ittas állapotban balesetet okozott, majd elmenekült a helyszínről, számolt be az RMF FM.
A Skoda járművet vezető 53 éves polgármester egy vontatókocsinak ütközött. Az ütközést követően megkerülte a sérült járművet és továbbhajtott. Ebben a pillanatban a vontató sofőrje és az eset egyik szemtanúja a szökevény után indult.
Pár száz méter után a Skoda megállt. A sértett és a tanú, miután beszélni kezdtek a sofőrrel, rájöttek, hogy a férfi beszéde érthetetlen, és nehezen tartja egyensúlyát. Alkoholszagot is éreztek rajta, és kihívták a rendőrséget.
A tesztek 2% alkoholt mutattak ki az 53 éves városi tisztviselő szervezetében. Egy egészségügyi intézménybe szállították, ahol vért vettek elemzésre.
A baleset elkövetőjének bevonják a vezetői engedélyét és felelősségre vonják ittas vezetésért, valamint a közúti baleset okozásáért.
Másnap a tisztviselő az irodájában tartózkodott. Az RMF FM újságírójának elmondta, hogy a feladatait végzi, a közúti baleset ügyében nem nyilatkozik.

A tettest viszonylag rövid időn belül sikerült előállítani. A 27 éves mezőháti férfi beismerte tettét. Mint kiderült, a sérült egy 63 éves feketetiszai lakos. A hatóságok lefoglalták a járművet, a baleset pontos körülményeit még vizsgálják a hatóságok, az ügyben eljárást indítottak.
