Az elnöki hivatal tudatta, hogy a fiatalok egy részét ideiglenesen Szöulban és környékén, szállodákban és egyéb épületekben helyezik el, a helyi cserkészvezetők pedig azt mondták, ők maguk 340 evakuálási útvonalat dolgoztak ki.
Az evakuálás a tervek szerint helyi idő szerint kedd reggel kezdődik.
A környéken uralkodó erős hőhullám miatt korábban már sok turista idő előtt félbeszakította vakációját, a cserkésztalálkozó szervezőit pedig előzőleg bírálatok érték, amiért kánikula idején éppen egy nagy kiterjedésű, fák nélküli, sík területre szervezték a cserkésztalálkozót.
A múlt héten a Khanun már lecsapott Kína keleti és Japán déli részére, ahol a viharok és esőzések halálos áldozatokat is követeltek.
