At least 60 people were killed and others injured in northern #Nigeria on Saturday when a petrol tanker truck overturned, spilling petrol that exploded, the Federal Road Safety Corps (#FRSC) said.

Az AradOn.ro portál beszámolója szerint a családtagok azonosították, hogy a balesetben eltűnt, 29 éves aradi fiatalemberről van szó. A portál úgy tudja, a holttestet az eltűnteket a Perjámos (Periam) és Egres (Igris) között kereső mentőegység a baleset helyszínétől néhány kilométernyire, Sajtény (Seitin) térségében találta meg.
Az OpiniaTimisoarei.ro portál szerint az aradi fiatalember annak a – balesetet túlélő – 28 éves nőnek az élettársa volt, akinek a négyéves gyermeke életét vesztette a vasárnapi tragédiában.
A román mentőegységek továbbra is nagy erőkkel keresik a balesetben eltűnt 31 éves nagylaki férfit, illetve egy 7 és 11 éves nagylaki gyereket. A román hatóságok kérésére a magyar mentők a határ túloldalán, Nagylak és Makó között keresik az eltűnteket – tudatta a temesvári portál.
Az Arad megyei rendőrség kedden szabadon bocsátotta a felborult csónakot vezető, hétfőn őrizetbe vett 33 éves férfit, aki négy másik felnőttel és három gyerekkel együtt élve került ki a vízből.
A férfi szabadlábon védekezhet az ellene gondatlanságból elkövetett emberölés miatt indult bűnvádi eljárás során. A rendőrségi vizsgálat nyomán kiderült, hogy a gyanúsítottnak nem volt vízi jármű vezetésére jogosító engedélye, és ittas volt a baleset idején.
A csónakot nem íratták forgalomba, és többen ültek benne a megengedettnél. A rendőrségi tájékoztatás szerint a férfi vasárnap 20.40 óra körül indult el a csónakkal a Maroson a Temes megyei Perjámos kikötőjéből (Periam Port) a másik partra, az Arad megyei Szemlak (Semlac) irányába.
A település közelében tizenegy ember ült be a csónakba – öt felnőtt és hat kiskorú –, Perjámosba akartak átjutni, de a túlterhelt csónak a parttól mindössze két-három méterre elsüllyedt – írja az MTI.

Az Arad megyei rendőség szerint a csónakot vezető 33 éves férfinak nem volt a járműre vezetői engedélye, a csónak nem volt bejegyezve, és többen ültek benne a megengedettnél, ezért elsüllyedt.
A férfi a fából készült motorral hajtott csónakot ráadásul ittasan vezette.
Gondatlanságból elkövetett emberölés vádjával indult ellene eljárás, 24 órás előzetes letartóztatásba helyezték.
A település közelében tizenegy ember ült be a csónakba.
Az öt felnőtt és hat kiskorú Perjámosba akartak átjutni, de a túlterhelt csónak a parttól mindössze két-három méterre elsüllyedt.
A csónak összeütközött valamivel, mielőtt elsüllyedt volna.
A Temes és Arad megyei mentőegységek, tűzoltók és búvárok hétfő reggel óta keresik az eltűnteket. Két felnőttet – egy 29 éves aradi és egy 31 éves nagylaki férfit – és két nagylaki gyereket keresnek. A folyó mindkét partján és a vízben is zajlik a keresésük.
