Tűz keletkezett egy dallasi bevásárlóközpontban helyi idő szerint pénteken, amelyben több mint ötszáz állat pusztult el – közölte a texasi Dallas tűzoltósága.
A Plaza Latina bevásárlóközpont állatkereskedésében tartott 579 állat füstmérgezésben pusztult el – közölte Jason Evans, a tűzoltóság szóvivője. A tűz maga nem érte el az állatokat. Főként csirkék és hörcsögök pusztultak el, illetve két kutya és két macska is – tette hozzá a szóvivő.
Az oltás körülbelül két órán át tartott, a helyszínen 45 tűzoltó küzdött a lángokkal.
Annak ellenére, hogy a tűzoltók megkísérelték az állatok kimenekítését, a füst belélegzése után sajnálatos módon az üzletben levő összes állat elpusztult
– fejtette ki Evans, hozzátéve, hogy személyi sérülés nem történt.
Az egyemeletes üzletház szerkezete súlyosan megrongálódott, és a teteje is részben beomlott. A Plaza Latinában főként kis üzletek és éttermek találhatók, elsősorban latin-amerikai kínálattal. A tűz oka egyelőre ismeretlen, jelenleg vizsgálat folyik az ügyben – közölte a tűzoltóság.

A baleset nem sokkal helyi idő szerint reggel 6 óra után történt az I-345-ös autópályán – mondta Robert Borse dallasi tűzoltó-mentő százados. A baleset során a tűzoltók autója lezuhant és az oldalára borult a síneken. Egy autópálya-tábla is összeomlott a négysávos pálya felett.
A négy tűzoltót kórházba szállítottak. Vasárnap reggelre stabilizálódott állapotuk – mondta Borse.
A baleset után lezárták a gyorsforgalmi utat és a dallasi vasúttársaság érintett vasúti szakaszát – írja az ABC News.

Két II. világháborús repülőgép ütközött össze a bemutató közben szombat délután.
Egy vadászgép csapódott egy bombázónak a levegőben a dallasi légi bemutató során szombaton. Az ütközés következtében mind a két II. világháborús gép teljesen megsemmisült, a fedélzeten utazók közül senki sem élte túl a tragédiát. A földön azonban nem sérült meg senki.
A jelentések szerint a bemutatón résztvevő gépek nagy sebességgel húztak át egy autóút fölött a dallasi repülőtér füves területe felé, amikor a vadászgép hirtelen balról jobbra kanyarodva félbevágta a bombázó törzsét a szárny mögötti részen. Az ütközés következtében a vadászgép a darabjaira hullott, míg a kettészakadt bombázó a földbe csapódott, majd felrobbant – írja az RTL.
Az együléses vadászgép pilótája, valamint a négymotoros bombázó személyzete nem élte túl a balesetet. Az egyelőre nem világos, hogy a bombázó fedélzetén pontosan hányan voltak, a gépet általában két pilóta repüli és rajtuk kívül még 2-3 fő szokott a gépen tartózkodni.

Több órára megbénult hétfőn Texasban a Dallas Love Field repülőtér, miután egy nő lövöldözni kezdett a jegypénztáraknál. A nőt lelőtték a rendőrök, mostanra azonosították is – írta a Fox News.
Azonosította a rendőrség azt a nőt, aki hétfőn több lövést leadott a Dallas Love Field repülőtéren, ami miatt több órára leállt a légi forgalom. Mint kiderült az elkövető a 37 éves Portia Odufuwa volt, akit már ismert a rendőrség egy 2019-es bankrablási ügyből. A nőt a kiérkező rendőrök meglőtték, úgy tudni a lábán találták el.
Az utazók érthető módon pánikba estek, és próbáltak elbújni, erről is készült videófelvétel:
A Fox News azt írta, a nő azért kezdett el lövöldözni, mert a férjét kirúgták a munkahelyéről, és emiatt ideges lett. A lövöldözésben rajta kívül nem sebesült meg senki.
