Zavargások törtek ki Düsseldorfban a Marokkó–Franciaország világbajnoki negyeddöntő mérkőzés után. Üvegeket és petárdákat dobáltak a rendőrökre a szurkolók.
Körülbelül 1500 szurkoló gyűlt össze a düsseldorfi főpályaudvar közelében, a Marokkó–Franciaország vb-mérkőzés miatt. A hatóságok szerint a hangulat eleinte jó volt, de pillanatok alatt agresszívvá vált. A zavargások közepette három rendőr megsérült.
A közösségi médiában terjedő felvételeken látható, amint egy csoport szándékosan petárdákat és üvegpalackokat dobáltak a rendőrökre. Három tiszt ekkor megsérült, egyikőjük pedig nem tudta folytatni a műszakját. Fokozott rendőri jelenlét volt a helyszínen, és több bűncselekmény miatt is vádat emeltek, emellett két férfit letartóztattak és őrizetbe vettek.
Marokkó negyeddöntős vereségét követően nemcsak Düsseldorfban törtek ki zavargások, hanem több európai fővárosban is, köztük Londonban és Párizsban – írta a Focus.de.

Péntek este súlyos baleset történt a Rheinkirmes záróeseményén, amikor egy tűzijátékbomba a levegő helyett a földön, a nézők között robbant fel. A tragédia következtében 19 ember megsérült, közülük négyen súlyosan, a vásárra sok mentő és tűzoltó érkezett.
A Rheinkirmes egy hatalmas vidámpark-jellegű vásár és népünnepély, amelyet évente Düsseldorfban rendeznek meg, általában július közepén, a Rajna folyó partján.
A péntek esti látványos tűzijáték a szokásoknak megfelelően a Rheinknie-híd környékéről indult, több ezer néző kísérte figyelemmel az eseményt a Rajna partján. Ám 22:45 órakor egy hiba miatt az ünneplés pillanatok alatt rémálommá változott: egy úgynevezett „gömbbomba” – egy erőteljes tűzijáték-elem – nem a levegőben, hanem már a kilövőcsőben felrobbant, közvetlenül a földön – írja a Bild.
A robbanás következtében 19 ember megsérült, közülük négyen súlyosan. A detonáció erejét még a Rajna túlpartján is érezni lehetett. Szakértők szerint a balesetet egy gömbbomba korai, kilövőcsőben történt robbanása okozta, amely más csöveket is feldöntött, és ezekből egy újabb tűzijáték-test közvetlenül a tömeg közelében robbant fel.
A rendőrség nyomozást indított gondatlanságból elkövetett testi sértés gyanújával, és vizsgálják a technikai hibát vagy emberi mulasztást.
Mintegy 80 mentő és tűzoltó vonult a helyszínre, a Rheinkirmest ideiglenesen lezárták.
A város vezetése és a rendezvényszervezők egyaránt vizsgálják, hogy a jövőben szükség van-e a tűzijáték biztonsági protokolljainak szigorítására – vagy akár annak elhagyására is.

A rendőrség közlése szerint hat ember megsérült, közülük ketten életveszélyesen, amikor kedd este, nem sokkal hat óra előtt egy fekete városi terepjáró (SUV) a karácsonyi vásár látogatói közé hajtott Düsseldorfban.
A Mercedes 84 éves sofőrje a város zsúfolt bevásárlóutcája, a Königsallée elején veszítette el uralmát a jármű felett. A terepjáró egy sor parkoló e-robogónak, majd egy oszlopnak hajtott, miközben több járókelőt elütött – számolt be a Bild Online.
A lap tudósítója szerint az egyik közlekedési lámpánál várakozó idős sofőr figyelmét feltehetőleg megzavarta a szitáló eső.
A baleset körülményeiről azt írták, hogy a sofőr először egy másik autónak kormányozta a Mercedest, majd az út szélén álló közlekedési oszlopok állították meg.
Megjegyezik, hogy az oszlopok nélkül sokkal súlyosabb következményei lehettek volna a balesetnek. A sofőr és utasa sokkos állapotba került. A balesetet követően pedig törölték a Königsallée feletti fénykupola ünnepélyes felkapcsolásának programját.
