Csütörtökön letartóztatták Eldar Haszanovot, Azerbajdzsán szerbiai, boszniai és montenegrói nagykövetét – adta hírül azeri és orosz forrásokra hivatkozva a szerbiai sajtó.
Az azeri állambiztonsági szolgálat közleménye szerint a diplomatát gyanúsítottként fogták el, és egyebek mellett hivatali visszaéléssel, valamint közpénzek hűtlen kezelésével gyanúsítják.
A nyomozásról nem közöltek további részleteket, ám annyi bizonyos, nemcsak a belgrádi nagykövetet, hanem az azerbajdzsáni külügyminisztérium több alkalmazottját is előállították.
Ivica Dacic szerb külügyminiszter a sajtó megkeresésére közölte, hogy a diplomatát Azerbajdzsánban fogták el.
