A jelentés szerint a helyi média beszámolt róla, a TCK alkalmazottai megállították a menetrend szerint közlekedő buszt, hogy ellenőrizzék a vezető okmányait. A sofőrt ezután a TCK-ba vitték, hogy frissítsék az adatait. A busz utasai tiltakozásul lezárták a Ternopil–Lemberg utat Ternopil megye területén Sztrutin falu közelében. Szvitlana Dobrovolszka, az ukrán Nemzeti Rendőrség Lemberg megyei szóvivője elmondta, hogy a tüntetők csak körülbelül 10 percig blokkolták a forgalmat.
A Lemberg megyei TCK közölte, hogy a rendőrség valóban megállította a buszt, hogy ellenőrizze a sofőr adatait. A férfinak nem voltak katonai nyilvántartási okmányai. Meghívták a zolocsivi járási TCK-ba. A sofőrt felszólították, hogy frissítse az okmányait, és néhány perccel később visszavitték a buszhoz.
„Hangsúlyozzuk, hogy a buszban volt egy másik sofőr is, így az egyik sofőr távolléte nem befolyásolta a kisbusz továbbhaladását. A jelentés szerint egy videofelvétel kering az interneten, amelyen speciális mentőautóval közlekedő katonák erőszakkal próbáltak betuszkolni a járműbe egy férfit. Végül az illetőt szabadon engedték, miután a helyi hadkiegészítő parancsnokság kényszertoborzói konfliktusba kerültek az intézkedésbe beavatkozó, arra járó nővel.
Helyi Telegram-csatornák szerint a mentőautót egy önkéntes szervezet vásárolta emberek adományaiból a frontvonalban lévő kórházak számára.
Az incidens Odessza Raduzsnij lakótelepének közelében zajlott. „Annak alapján, hogy a katonák megsértették a különleges célú jármű használatának rendjét és a katonai rendészeti szolgálat jogellenes erőszakot alkalmazott, vizsgálat indult” – írta a sajtószolgálat, hozzátéve, hogy a későbbiekben jogilag értékelik a történteket és a vétkeseket felelősségre vonják.
