Az orosz megszállók 20 ezer ukrán gyermeket deportáltak illegálisan Ukrajnából. A valós szám azonban jóval magasabb. Ukrajna mindezt dokumentumokkal tudja alátámasztani – jelentette ki Volodimir Zelenszkij elnök, Katar emírjével, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani sejkkel folytatott telefonbeszélgetése során, számolt be az Elnöki Hivatal.
Amit dokumentumokkal tudunk megerősíteni, az körülbelül 20 000 elrabolt gyerek. Ez egy ijesztő szám, de az valóságban ez még nagyobb. Folytatnunk kell ezt a folyamatot, készen állunk a további egyeztetésre és együttműködésre – hangsúlyozta az államfő.
A két ország vezetői megvitatták a közel-keleti helyzetet is. Volodimir Zelenszkij kiemelte, hogy a globális kihívások ellenére az ukrán békeképlet megvalósítása szempontjából nagyon fontos az Öböl-menti országok részvétele.
Emellett az ukrán elnök megköszönte Katar humanitárius támogatását és azt a 100 millió dollárt, amelyet az energiaszektor, a kórházak védelmére különítettek el.
