Turistákat szállító hajó süllyedt el hétfőn a Vörös-tengeren, folyik a kutatás a túlélők után – közölték az egyiptomi hatóságok.
Amr Hanafi vörös-tengeri kormányzó tájékoztatása szerint a hajó fedélzetén 45 ember volt a baleset idején: 31 külföldi állampolgár és 14 tagú legénység. A baleset a búvárparadicsomként ismert Marszá Alam város közelében történt, és több embert már sikerült kimenteni.
Az orvosi ellátásra szorulókat mentőrepülővel szállították el, a többieket pedig hajóval vitték biztonságos helyre – mondta a kormányzó.
Paczolay Máté, a Külgazdasági és Külügyminisztérium szóvivője az MTI-nek elmondta:
A legfrissebb információink szerint a hajó fedélzetén 45 utas tartózkodott, melyek között nem volt magyar állampolgár, így magyar érintettségről jelenleg nincs tudomásunk. Konzuljaink folyamatosan nyomon követik az eseményeket és kapcsolatban állnak a helyi hatóságokkal.
A hatóságok tájékoztatása szerint 28 embert sikerült kimenteni a vízből, 17 utast pedig továbbra is keresnek.
A Sea Story nevű turistahajó vasárnap indult Marszá Alamból hatnapos búvárkörútra. A hatóságokat hétfőn hajnalban riasztották a fedélzetről, a kutató- és mentőakció azonnal elindult.
Az intenzív kutatás a haditengerészet és a fegyveres erők koordinálásával folyik – közölte Hanafi.

Floridában több tucat elsüllyesztett, a feltételezések szerint bűncselekményekhez köthető autóra bukkantak a hatóságok önkéntes búvárok munkájának nyomán egy tóban.
A rendőrség megerősítette a két búvár, Doug Bishop és Ken Fleming vasárnap adott sajtónyilatkozatát, amelyben arról beszéltek, hogy 32 autót találtak a floridai Miami mellett. A beszámolók szerint a nemzetközi repülőtér közelében fekvő tóban vannak a járművek. A búvárok egy magánszervezet tagjai, amely eltűnt személyeket keres, és munkájuk során jutottak el a tóhoz.
A Miami-Dade megyei rendőrség közölte, hogy átveszi a vizsgálatot az ügyben, és a tervek szerint kiemelik az autókat a tóból.

Elsüllyedt egy palaui felségjelzésű teherhajó a Fekete-tengeren vasárnap, a török Bartin tartomány partjainál, Inkumu falu közelében – jelentette az Anadolu török állami hírügynökség, beszámolva arról is, hogy a 13 fős legénység (közülük 10 ukrán állampolgár) legkevesebb két tagja életét vesztette.
A térségben zord időjárási körülmények uralkodnak. A balesetet követően az Arvin nevű teherhajó legénysége mentőcsónakokba szállt, és a tengeren hánykolódik, mindössze 600–700 méterre a szárazföldtől.
Erős szél és magas hullámzás nehezíti a mentést, ezért a műveletben a török parti őrség és a katasztrófavédelem mellett a haditengerészet is részt vesz. A csapatok eddig öt embert tudtak kimenteni, de kettőnek már csak a holttestére bukkantak rá. A mentési munkálatok folytatódnak.
Sinan Güner, Bartin tartomány kormányzója az Anadolunak azt nyilatkozta, hogy a teherhajó Georgiából Bulgáriába tartott, és a rossz időjárásra tekintettel húzódott közelebb a partvonalhoz, mielőtt a szerencsétlenség történt. A hajó legénységének tagjai ukrán állampolgárok – ismertette Güner.
A kormányzó jelezte, bár először azt közölték, hogy a hajó orosz zászló alatt közlekedik, később arról értesültek, hogy palaui.

A személyzet egyik, Fülöp-szigeteki tagját egy megfigyelő repülőgépről vették észre, amint a vízben hánykolódott mentőmellényben. Sikerült kimenteni a férfit, aki elmondta, hogy a hajó felborult és elsüllyedt.
A 11 947 tonnás, Gulf Livestock 1 nevű hajó 5800 szarvasmarhát szállított az Amami-szigetekről a Kelet-kínai-tengeren, amikor vészjeleket adott le.
Egyelőre nem ismert a szerencsétlenség oka, de a baleset idején a térségben tomboló Majszak tájfun miatt rendkívüli viharos volt a tenger.
A parti őrség tájékoztatása szerint a hajó fedélzetén 38 Fülöp-szigeteki, két új-zélandi és két ausztrál szolgált. A Gulf Navigation, amely augusztus közepén indult Új-Zélandról egy, az Egyesült Arab Emírségekben bejegyzett cég tulajdona. Végső úti célja a kelet-kínai Tangsan kikötője lett volna.

A bejrúti kikötőben történt keddi nagy erejű robbanástól elsüllyedt a kikötőben horgonyzó Orient Queen óceánjáró.
A legénységnek a fedélzeten tartózkodó két tagja meghalt, heten megsérültek – közölte a tulajdonos, Mari Abu Mehri libanoni üzletember a NNA libanoni állami hírügynökség szerdai jelentése szerint.
Az 1989-ben épített, 121 méter hosszú, 7,4 ezer tonnás vízkiszorítású hajó bahamai zászló alatt hajózott, és a robbanás idején a bejrúti kikötőben horgonyzott. A robbanás során súlyosan megsérült a hajótest, és víz ömlött a hajó belsejébe. A mentési kísérletek nem jártak sikerrel, és a hajó elsüllyedt.
A hajótulajdonos gyors és átlátható vizsgálatot sürgetett a felelősök azonosítása és felelősségre vonása érdekében. Közben Farhan Haq ENSZ-szóvivő szerdán New Yorkban bejelentette, hogy mintegy száz ENSZ-alkalmazott sérült meg a keddi robbanásban.
„Kezelést kapnak, és reméljük, hogy rendbe jönnek” – mondta a szóvivő újságírók előtt, részvétét fejezve ki az áldozatok hozzátartozóinak.
