Egy fegyveres férfi rontott be a Sky Meadow Country Clubban tartott esküvőre. A lövöldözés során egy ember életét vesztette, többen pedig megsérültek.
Szombat este lövöldözés rázta meg a New Hampshire állambeli Nashuát. A rendőrség közlése szerint egy fegyveres támadó a Sky Meadow Country Clubban tartott esküvőn nyitott tüzet, ahol egy ember meghalt, többen megsérültek, majd kitört a pánik – számol be a New York Post.
A szemtanúk szerint a támadó az étkezőbe rontott be, és válogatás nélkül lövöldözni kezdett. A vendégek sikítva menekültek, többen a konyhába, mások a kijáratok felé rohantak. Végül egy vendég bátorságának köszönhetően a támadót ártalmatlanították: fejbe vágták egy székkel, mire elejtette fegyverét és elmenekült.
A helyi rendőrség szerint a férfit végül a helyszínen elfogták. A hatóságok vizsgálják, hogy pontosan hány sérült kapott lőtt sebet, de több embert kórházba kellett szállítani.
A tragédia után több politikus is részvétét fejezte ki. Maggie Goodlander képviselő és Jeanne Shaheen szenátor közösségi oldalán osztotta meg együttérzését az áldozatok és családjaik iránt, hangsúlyozva: nincs helye az értelmetlen fegyveres erőszaknak.

A tragédia pénteken történt az Uttar Pradesh fővárosától mintegy 300 kilométerre keletre fekvő Ghosiban. Videofelvételen is látható, hogy nők csoportja egy szűk utcán dobosok után halad, amikor rájuk omlik a fal. A balesetet követően az utcát sűrű por borította be, és pánik tört ki.
A hét halálos áldozat közül öt nő és kettő gyermek. A sérülteket kórházba szállították. A katasztrófavédelem mellett a rendőrség is részt vett a mentésben. A rendőrség vizsgálatot indított a tragédia pontos körülményeinek feltárására is.

Június elején Lengyelországban engedélyezték a 150 fő alatti esküvők megrendezését, azonban ezek az események újabb koronavírusos megbetegedésekkel jártak.
Az információk szerint az elmúlt hónap folyamán megrendezett legkevesebb 29 esküvő után számos új fertőzöttet vettek nyilvántartásba. Összesen 351 személy betegedett meg és 2333-at helyeztek karantén alá.
Az egészségügyi minisztérium elmondása szerint az emberek az ilyen jellegű eseményeken igencsak megfeledkeznek a járványügyi intézkedésekről. S mivel nehéz megállapítani azt, hogy a beteg kikkel érintkezett, az összes vendéget karantén alá kell helyezni.
A legtöbb hasonló eset a Kis-lengyelországi vajdaságban történt, a területen egyelőre korlátozták az esküvők megrendezését.
