Észak-Korea több ballisztikus rakétát lőtt ki a tengerbe hétfőn – közölte a dél-koreai hadsereg néhány órával azután, hogy Szöul és Washington újrakezdte a „Freedom Shield” néven ismert, nagyszabású éves hadgyakorlatot.
Észak-Korea régóta provokációnak tekintette a gyakorlatot.
A dél-koreai vezérkari főnökök szerint a rakétakilövéseket az észak-koreai Hwanghae tartományból észlelték, így Észak-Korea idei ötödik rakétakilövése.

Kosztyin megjegyezte, hogy a Legfőbb Ügyészség tárcaközi munkacsoportjának katonai szakértői a támadás helyszínén tartózkodtak, és elvégezték a rakétaalkatrészek előzetes vizsgálatát és elemzését. Elmondása szerint a fegyverek eredetének megerősítése érdekében átfogó bizottsági vizsgálat, valamint ügyészek, nyomozók és szakértők közös rendszeres munkája van folyamatban. A szakértők további lőszertöredékeket is keresnek az agresszor közelmúltbeli támadásainak helyszínein Odessza és Harkiv régiókban – mondta Kosztyin.

Az ukrajnai Harkiv régió ügyészsége szombaton újabb bizonyítékokat mutatott be, amelyek arra utalnak, hogy Oroszország Észak-Korea által biztosított rakétákkal támadta Ukrajnát. Pénteken Volodimir Zelenszkij elnök egyik magas rangú tanácsadója kijelentette, hogy az orosz invázió óta először fordult elő, hogy Ukrajnát észak-koreai rakétákkal vették célba.
Dmitro Csubenko, az ügyészség szóvivője megjegyezte, hogy az egyik ilyen rakéta, amely január 2-án csapódott be Harkiv városában, mind vizuálisan, mind technikailag különbözött az Oroszország által jellemzően használt rakétáktól.
Csubenko a rakéta maradványait mutatva újságíróknak kifejtette: „A gyártási módszer nem túl modern. Vannak eltérések a szabványos Iskander rakétáktól, amelyeket korábban a Harkiv elleni csapások során láthattunk.”
Ezzel kapcsolatban kifejtette továbbá, hogy ez a rakéta valamivel nagyobb átmérőjű, mint az orosz Iszkander rakéta, és a fúvóka, a belső elektromos tekercsek és a hátsó részek is markánsan különböznek. Következtetése szerint: „Ezért gondoljuk, hogy ez egy olyan rakéta lehet, amelyet Észak-Korea gyártott.”
A héten Oroszország több rakétatámadást intézett Harkiv ellen, amelyek két halálos áldozatot és több mint 60 sérültet követeltek. Ez a támadás Oroszország egyik legjelentősebb drón- és rakétacsapásának számít azóta, hogy 2022 februárjában megkezdte a nagyszabású hadviselést.
