Európa legnagyobb tűzhányója, a Földközi-tenger partján fekvő Szicília szigetén található Etna hétfőn éjszaka kezdett el ismét hamut szórni. Az Olasz Geofizikai és Vulkanológiai Intézet (INGV) közlése szerint még nem lehetett megbecsülni a hamuoszlop magasságát.
A légi forgalomra a legmagasabb riasztási szintet adták ki. Catania nemzetközi repülőtere egyelőre nyitva van.
A folyamatos megfigyelés alatt álló több mint 3300 méter magas Etna utoljára mintegy két hete, augusztus 10-én tört ki.

Ismét kitört az Etna Szicílián, miközben katonákat is mozgósítottak vasárnap a Vezúv körül tomboló tüzek oltására.
Európa legnagyobb tűzhányója, az Etna vasárnap kezdett el ismét lávát és hamut szórni. Az Olasz Geofizikai és Vulkanológiai Intézet (INGV) szerint fokozódott a föld alatti rengések intenzitása.
A cataniai nemzetközi repülőtér, ahol a nyári csúcsszezon miatt nagy a forgalom, egyelőre zavartalanul üzemel.
Időközben az olasz kormány úgy döntött, hogy katonákat is bevet a Nápoly melletti Vezúv vulkán térségében tomboló tüzek megfékezésére, valamint a gyújtogatók elleni fellépés érdekében.
A helyi sajtó szakértőkre hivatkozva arról cikkezett, hogy a szervezett bűnözéshez köthető gyújtogatók okozhatták a bozóttüzeket a térségben, hogy így nyerjenek földterületeket illegális szemétlerakókhoz.
Tűzoltók és önkéntesek százai küzdenek a lángokkal, kiterjedt szőlősök váltak tűz martalékává a Vezúv lejtőin. Az olasz ügyészség gyújtogatás gyanújával indított vizsgálatot. A bozóttüzek okozta füstöt még a világűrből is látni lehetett, műholdas felvételek, amelyek a Nápolyi-öböl felett terjengő, Vezúv egyik oldaláról terjengő füstöt mutatják, futótűzként terjedtek az interneten.
A tűz miatt jelenleg nem lehet felmenni a Vezúvra.
Kitört az Etna, a vulkán felett pedig egy nagy, több kilométer magas hamufelhő látható – írja a Corriere Della Sera. Az internetre felkerült több felvétel is, az egyiken az látható, amint az emberek a szicíliai vulkánról futnak lefelé, miközben a hamufelhő egyre csak növekszik mögöttük.
A rengések vasárnap este nagyjából 22 órakor kezdődtek, majd három órával később, az éjszaka közepén tetőztek. Az első vulkáni rengéseket csak pillanatokkal a kitörés előtt észlelték a helyiek.

Az olasz Nemzeti Geofizikai és Vulkanológiai Intézet (INGV) közleménye szerint egyre intenzívebb, stromboli-típusú robbanások észlelhetők, amelyek jelenleg erőteljesek és szinte folyamatosak. Az elmúlt órákban vékony hamuréteg hullása is megfigyelhető volt a Piano Vetore térségében. Az INGV három lépcsőben emelte a légi riasztási fokozatot, amely végül elérte a legmagasabb, vörös szintet.

Az Etna délkeleti kráterében december 1-jén észleltek egy kitörést, amelyről videó is készült – jelentette be az olasz Országos Geofizikai és Vulkanológiai Intézet megfigyelőközpontja.
Az ANSA olasz hírügynökség beszámolója szerint a kitörési aktivitás – csúcspontján – mintegy 6000 méteres tengerszint feletti magasságig terjedő oszlopot hozott létre, amely a vulkántól északkeletre szóródott szét.
A hamuhullásáról Fiumefreddo di Sicilia, Calatabiano és Giardini Naxos településekről érkeztek jelentések.
A lávakitörést effúziós tevékenység kísérte, amely két lávafolyamot hozott létre, amelyek a délkeleti kráterből délkeleti és keleti irányba terjedtek. A pénteki kitörésről videó is készült.
Szeizmikus szempontból a vulkáni rengés átlagos amplitúdója – miután este fél 9 körül elérte a maximális értékeket –, egyértelműen csökkenő tendenciát mutatott, és 22 óra körül elérte az átlagos értékek tartományát, ahol utána is maradt.
A rengés forrásai továbbra is a délkeleti kráter területére korlátozódnak, körülbelül 3000 méteres tengerszint feletti mélységben. Az infrahang-aktivitás szintén jelentős csökkenést mutatott, és este fél 10 körül szinte teljesen kimerült.

Riasztás előtti fokozatra emelték az Etna vulkánkitörése miatti készültséget – jelentette be a szicíliai katasztrófavédelem pénteken.
A több mint háromezer méter magas vulkán egyik délkeleti kráterből hajnali fél ötkor kezdett kilövellni az izzó láva. Az országos geofizikai és vulkanológiai intézet (INGV) mérései szerint a kitörés erőssége közepes és erős között mozog. A vulkáni aktivitást a helyiek is érzékelték, beszámolóik szerint az Etna „felmordult”, és a sötétben Cataniából jól látszott az ég felé törő tűzpiros lávanyelv.
Európa egyik aktív vulkánja november 12-én ébredt fel ismét, és azóta szünet nélkül köpködi ki magából a lávát, hamut és a füstöt. A hajnalban kezdődött vulkanikus tevékenység azonban az utóbbi tizenkét nap legerősebbje volt, így a helyi katasztrófavédelem riasztás előtti készültséget rendelt el. A vulkán csúcsának környékét lezárták a látogatók előtt, és egyeztetést tartottak a térség polgármestereivel.
A következő órákban jelentős mennyiségű hamu fedheti be a környékbeli városokat és településeket, Catania repülőtere egyelőre akadálymentesen működik. Az izzó láva lenyűgöző látványát fokozza, hogy az Etnát napok óta fehér hótakaró fedi.

Felfüggesztették a légiforgalmat a szicíliai Catania nemzetközi repülőterén, mert hétfőre virradóra kitört a közeli Etna tűzhányó.
A Vincenzo Bellini repülőteret – Olaszország egyik legnagyobb forgalmú légikikötőjét – működtető társaság közölte, hogy este 8 óráig szünetel a járatok fogadása és indítása a vulkáni hamu miatt. A tűzhányó lávát és hamut okád magából, s bár reggelre lényegében elapadt a kiömlő láva, az egyik kráterből továbbra is hamu hullik a környező térségre.

Az Etna, Európa legaktívabb vulkánja vasárnap újra kitört, hamut okádva Cataniára, a legnagyobb kelet-szicíliai városra. A vulkánkitörés miatt a város repülőterén a járatközlekedést felfüggesztették.
A 3330 méter magas vulkán évente többször is látványosan kitörhet, lávát és hamut lövellve a magasba a Földközi-tengeri sziget fölé. Az utolsó nagyobb kitörés 1992-ben volt.

Adrano és Biancavilla települések lakói arról számoltak be, hogy vasárnap hangos robajokat hallottak a vulkánból – jelentette az ANSA olasz hírügynökség.
Az olasz katasztrófavédelem csütörtökön riasztást adott ki, miszerint a fokozott vulkáni aktivitás miatt „hirtelen” változások következhetnek be az Etna aktivitásában – írja az AP NEWS.

A vulkáni hamu leginkább Linguaglossa és Piedimonte Etneo településeket fenyegeti. A Fontanarossa repülőtér működését ez egyelőre nem befolyásolja, de piros figyelmeztetést adtak ki.
Az olasz geofizikai és vulkanológiai intézet beszámolója szerint a délkeleti kráter keleti faláról három piroklasztikus anyagfolyam szakadt le, a lávafolyam a Bove völgyébe vezet.
„Az etnai rémálom visszatért a szicíliai vidékre” – fogalmazott a La Coldiretti, amely szerint a vulkán változásai előtt állunk, és emiatt új beavatkozási rendszert kell kialakítani.

A hosszú nyár és a rekord meleg hónapok ugyanis jócskán felmelegítették a Földközi-tenger vizét, az Észak-Afrika partjainál kialakult alacsony nyomású ciklon pedig vasárnap és hétfő környékén magába szippanthatja a meleg tengervíz tárolta nagy mennyiségű energiát, és van esély rá, hogy egy úgynevezett medikánná fejlődik.
A jelenség a mediterrán és hurrikán szavak összetételéből ered, és arra utal, hogy a kialakuló mediterrán ciklon trópusi jegyeket hordoz, kialakulása és erőssége is összevethető a hurrikánokéval.
Lokálisan 400-500 milliméter eső is előfordulhat, ami 5 havi csapadékmennyiségnek felel meg a térség átlagát tekintve.
A képződmény Görögország nyugati tájaira is hatással lesz, itt a széllökések hétfőn elérhetik az óránkénti 100 kilométeres sebességet.
