Alig egy évvel a Szuezi-csatornát megbénító incidens után ismét bajba került a cég egyik konténerhajója.
Mint ismert: a cég konténerhajója, az Ever Given tavaly tavasszal elakadt a Szuezi-csatornában, megbénítva ezzel a tengeri útvonalat.
Ezúttal az Ever Forward nevű hajó került bajba. A 330 méter hosszú jármű Baltimore városából tartott Norfolkba, amikor megakadt a sekély vízben még vasárnap éjjel.
Az amerikai hatóságok közlése szerint senki sem sérült meg a balesetben és a hajó sem rongálódott meg.
Óriási szerencse, hogy ezúttal egyetlen hajó útját sem korlátozza az elakadt óriás.

Addig nem mozdulhat az Ever Given, amíg meg nem fizette a kompenzációt, amit a Szuezi-csatorna blokkolásáért vár a hajótól Egyiptom.
A Szuezi-csatornát napokig blokkoló hatalmas konténerhajó, bár a szorult helyzetéből már kiszabadult, nagyon messzire nem mehet – legalábbis addig, ameddig meg nem fizeti az óriási büntetést, amit kiszabtak rá.
A New York Post szerint Egyiptom csaknem egymilliárd dolláros kompenzációt vár az Ever Giventől, bár a hatóságok még vizsgálják, hogy hogyan és miért feneklett meg az óriási konténerhajó, ezzel elzárva a világ egyik legfontosabb vízi kereskedelmi útvonalát.
„A hajó itt marad, amíg a nyomozás nem zárul le és a büntetést meg nem fizetik” – mondta el Oszama Rabie, a Szuezi-csatorna hatóságának elnöke Egyiptom állami televíziójának csütörtökön.
„Gyors megállapodásban reménykedünk. Abban a pillanatban, hogy elfogadják a kompenzáció megfizetésére vonatkozó kérésünket, a hajó tovább utazhat” – tette hozzá Rabie.
