A tűzoltók eloltották a Lemberg megyei Szmozse településen egy fatemplomban keletkezett tüzet szombaton – írja az Interfax.
Mire kiértünk, a lángok a faépület nagy részét elnyelték. Fennállt a veszélye annak, hogy a tűz átterjed a közeli kétszintes fa harangtoronyra. Az oltási munkálatok során a templom kupolája összeomlott. A tüzet 12 óra 37 perckor eloltották – közölte az állami katasztrófavédelmi szolgálat.
Az incidensben senki sem sérült meg. A tűz körülményeit és okát vizsgálják.
Amint arról beszámoltunk, a Lembergi területen lévő Szmozse faluban szombaton kigyulladt a Szent Mihály-fatemplom, amely nemzeti jelentőségű építészeti műemlék. A Szmozse faluban található Szent Mihály-fatemplomot 1835-ben építették, és 1979-ben vették fel a nemzeti jelentőségű építészeti műemlékek listájára.

Leégett szerdán Prágában a Szent Mihály-fatemplom, amelyet 1929-ben vittek az akkor Csehszlovákiához tartozó Kárpátaljáról a fővárosba az államalapítás 10. évfordulója alkalmával.
A XVII. századból származó, három tornyú fatemplom a Moldva bal oldalán elterülő Kinsky kertben állt, védett műemléknek volt és népszerű turistacélpontnak számított.
A tűz keletkezésnek okát, valamint a kár mértékét tűzoltók és szakértők vizsgálják. A tűzvész gyakorlatilag teljesen elpusztította a templomot, ledőlt a két kisebbik torony és a főtorony nagyobbik része is – mondta Martin Kavka, a prágai tűzoltók szóvivője újságíróknak.
A pravoszláv fatemplom, amely a maga nemében egyedülálló volt Prágában, eredetileg egy Munkács melletti faluban állt és igen rossz állapotban volt. Csehszlovákia megalakulásának 10. évfordulója alkalmával született meg az a döntés, hogy az értékes építményt Prágába szállítják, restaurálják és újra felépítik.
Csehországban az utóbbi években több hasonló tűzvész is pusztított. Az észak-morvaországi Guty faluban 2017-ben egy 16. századi fatemplom égett le. A tüzet három fiatal fiú okozta szándékosan, amiért 3,5, 8 és 9 év börtönbüntetést kaptak. A templomot időközben újjáépítették. Ostravában 2002-ben egy szintén 16. századi fatemplom égett le, nagy valószínűséggel a villanyvezetékek meghibásodása következtében. Ezt a templomot 2004-ben építették újjá.
