Az ukrán Szu-27-esek vadászgépek elkezdték használni a 454 kilogrammos Mark 83-as bombákat – számolt be kedden az rbc.ua hírportál a The Aviationist című szaklapra lapra hivatkozva.
A kiadvány szerint az ukrán hadsereg 2023 óta alkalmaz aktívan 226 kg tömegű JDAM-ER légibombákat. Most azonban megerősítést nyert, hogy az ukrán fegyveres erők arzenáljában még erősebb fegyverek vannak. Az új, 453 kg-os változatot valószínűleg kifejezetten az ukrán légierő számára tervezték.
A napokban tették közzé az első videót egy Szu-27-es 1000 font súlyú JDAM-ER-ek használatáról. A JDAM-ER az Mk-82 légibombára épül, de az új modell valószínűleg az 1000 font súlyú Mk-83-ra épül. Az új lőszer valószínűleg megkapja a GBU-63 indexet.

Az Egyesült Államok legfelsőbb bírósága pénteken közzétett határozatában fenntartotta a fegyverbirtoklási tilalmat a családon belüli erőszak elkövetői esetében.
Az Egyesült Államok alkotmánybírósági szerepkört is betöltő, legfőbb jogi fóruma szinte egyhangú, 8:1 arányú döntése szerint „az a személy, akinek az esetében bíróság állapította meg, hogy valós veszélyt jelent egy másik személy fizikai biztonságára, átmenetileg megfosztható a fegyvertől”.
A bírák megállapították, hogy a hatályos törvényi rendelkezés összhangban van az amerikai alkotmány önvédelem jogáról rendelkező második kiegészítésével. A konzervatív és liberális bírák többsége is egyetértett a jelen adminisztráció véleményével arról: történelmi hagyományra is visszavezethető, hogy veszélyes embereket távol tartsanak a lőfegyverektől.
A legfelsőbb bíróság egy Texas állambeli férfi, Zackey Rahimi panaszára vizsgálta meg a kérdést,
akit a bíróság kapcsolaton belüli erőszak miatt marasztalt el több alkalommal is. A férfi azzal érvelt, hogy a vele szemben hozott ítélet ellenére is megilleti az önvédelem joga, illetve az azzal járó lehetőség a fegyverbirtoklásra.
Az ügy 2022 óta az első nagy súlyú és precedensértékű döntése volt a legfelsőbb bíróságnak, ami az alkotmány második kiegészítésére vonatkozik. Két évvel ezelőtt ilyen súlyú határozat volt az, amelyikben a bírói tanács szélesítette a fegyverviselés lehetőségét a jogkövető állampolgárok számára.
Joe Biden és kormánya hivatali ideje alatt többször tett kísérletet a lőfegyvervásárlás és -birtoklás szabályainak szigorítására,
arra hivatkozva, hogy a fegyverviselés általános joga vezet a gyakori utcai lövöldözésekhez, a sok ember halálával járó erőszakos cselekményekhez.
Az alkotmány második kiegészítésének hívei szerint az önvédelem alapvető jog, amely különösebb korlátozások nélkül meg kell, hogy illessen minden törvénytisztelő amerikai állampolgárt.
