Megrongálták vasárnap este a londoni belarusz nagykövetség épületét egy csoport tagjai, illetve a diplomatákat is megtámadták.
A városi rendőrséget először arról értesítették, hogy az épület előtt egy csoport randalírozik, akik az egyik diplomatát is megtámadták, és arcsérüléseket okoztak neki. A rendőrök azt már csak másnap közölték, hogy egy embert őrizetbe vettek, és nyomozást indítottak az esettel kapcsolatban.
A belarusz külügyminisztérium közölte, hogy a diplomatának sürgős orvosi beavatkozásra volt szüksége, mivel eltört az orra, agyrázkódást szenvedett, és az egyik foga is letört a bántalmazás miatt.
A közösségi médiában közzétett bejegyzések szerint vasárnap kisebb demonstrációt tartottak a belarusz képviselet épülete előtt. A külügyminisztérium szerint egy radikális, emigránsokból álló csoport, a Nadzeya tagjai állhatnak az incidens mögött. Ezt viszont a csoport képviselői tagadták.
A történtekkel kapcsolatban az Egyesült Királyság minszki nagykövetét is bekérették a belarusz külügyminisztériumba, aki tiltakozott a történtek miatt, és azt követelte, hogy vonják felelősségre az elkövetőket.

Lengyelország kiutasít két újabb fehérorosz diplomatát, válaszul arra, hogy Minszk folytatja a lengyel diplomaták iránti ellenséges lépéseket – jelentette be Marcin Przydacz külügyminiszter-helyettes.
A varsói döntés közvetlen előzménye, hogy csütörtökön a fehérorosz külügyminisztérium felszólította a hrodnai lengyel főkonzulátus vezetőjét és a konzult, hogy 48 órán belül hagyják el az ország területét. Előzőleg kedden kiutasították a breszti lengyel főkonzult is a diplomáciai kapcsolatokról szóló bécsi egyezmény súlyos megsértésére hivatkozva. Przydacz a Twitteren pénteken bejelentette: reagálva az előző napi fehérorosz lépésre, kiutasítják Lengyelországból a kelet-lengyelországi Bialystok városában akkreditált fehérorosz főkonzult, valamint egy varsói konzult.
Szerdán, a breszti lengyel főkonzul keddi kiutasítására reagálva, Lengyelország már nemkívánatos személynek nyilvánított egy, a varsói fehérorosz nagykövetségen dolgozó diplomatát. A breszti főkonzult Fehéroroszország arra hivatkozva utasította ki, hogy február 28-án a – lengyel kisebbség által is lakott – határ menti városban részt vett a kiátkozott katonák emléknapjának rendezvényén. Ezen Przydacz közlése szerint lengyel nemzetiségű cserkészek voltak jelen, az akciót pedig egy, Fehéroroszországban hivatalosan működő civil szervezet rendezte.
A kiátkozott katonák emléknapját Lengyelországban azoknak a második világháború után a föld alatt működő lengyel szabadságharcosoknak a tiszteletére vezették be, akik a náci német megszállók után a szovjetekkel is felvették a harcot. Fehérorosz álláspont szerint “háborús bűnösök voltak, akik népirtást követtek el a fehérorosz lakossággal szemben”.
A PAP lengyel hírügynökség pénteken a Tut.by fehéroroszországi hírportál meg nem erősített információira hivatkozva közölte: a fehérorosz hatóságok a lengyel-fehérorosz határon őrizetbe vették a breszti lengyel iskola Lengyelországból visszatérő igazgatónőjét. Anna Paniszewa csütörtökön a Twitteren bírálta a breszti ügyészség által a kiátkozott katonák emléknapi rendezvénye kapcsán folytatott bűntetőeljárást. Az eljárás keretében már őrizetbe vették a breszti lengyel iskola egyik alapítóját, egy 43 éves férfit, amiről csütörtökön a fehérorosz belügyminisztérium tájékoztatott.
