Hét maszkos és fehérorosz egyenruhás személy kövekkel dobálta meg a lengyel határőröket a határ fehérorosz oldaláról, tájékoztatott a lengyel Határőrszolgálat.
Lengyelország Határőrszolgálata jelentése szerint szeptember 9-én 21 óra körül „a fehéroroszországi oldalon egy 7 fős, maszkos, fehérorosz egyenruhába öltözött csoport kövekkel dobálta meg a lengyel járőröket”. Az embereknek csúzlijuk és zseblámpájuk volt, amivel elvakították a lengyel járőröket. Egy speciális TUR járművet küldtek a helyszínre. Senki sem sérült meg.
A lengyel határőrök aznap korábban arról számoltak be, hogy az elmúlt nap folyamán 15 külföldi próbált illegálisan bejutni Lengyelországba Fehéroroszországból. A plaskai határőrség által őrzött területen 4 személy (köztük burundi és kongói állampolgárok) illegálisan átjutott Lengyelországba a Volkusanka folyón keresztül. 9 szíriai pedig illegálisan kelt át a Podcerkivka folyón a bialowiezai területen.
Szeptember 9-én a lengyel határőrség jelentése szerint 59 illegális határátlépési kísérletet rögzítettek a lengyel-fehérorosz határszakaszon Határőszolgálat Podlaskie osztálya által őrzött területen. 8 országból próbáltak eljutni Lengyelországba: Szíria, Jemen, Eritrea, Afganisztán, Irán, Szomália, Irak és Guinea. Egy személyt is láttak, akinek az volt a feladata, hogy megsemmisítse a határ műszaki biztonságát, hogy felszabadítsa az utat az illegális migránsok csoportja előtt. Ez a személy, látva a lengyel szolgálatokat, visszavonult Fehéroroszországba.
Ez év eleje óta a Podlaskie Határszolgálat tisztjei több mint 21 000 kísérletet regisztráltak a lengyel–fehérorosz határ illegális átlépésére.

A jelentés szerint Volodimir Nyikiforenko, a határőrség országos parancsnokának első helyettese emlékeztetett arra, hogy jelenleg is fennáll a veszélye, hogy a migránsválság átterjed Ukrajnára azáltal, hogy a migránsáradatot Fehéroroszország átirányítja Ukrajna irányába. „A határhelyzet esetleges kiéleződésére történő további reagálás biztosítása érdekében összehangolt különleges műveletet kezdtek előre kidolgozott terv alapján a megfelelő állami struktúrák” – mondta, jelezve, hogy a speciális művelet kedd este indult.
Nyikiforenko szerint a művelet fő feladata annak megakadályozása, hogy a migránsok átlépjék Ukrajna államhatárát és bejussanak az országba. Ezt a műveletbe bevont erők összehangolt tevékenysége biztosítja – tette hozzá. Mint jelezte, a határellenőrzést megnövelt szolgálati állomány végzi, eszközök és személyi állomány egyidejű átcsoportosításával a migránsáttörés szempontjából veszélyeztetett határszakaszokra. A határ ellenőrzésébe és monitorozásába bevonnak repülőgépeket, helikoptereket, drónokat és speciális technikai eszközöket – emelte ki.
A helyettes főparancsnok azt is közölte, hogy az ukrán-fehérorosz határ menti térségekben a megerősített ellenőrzés keretében a közutakon ellenőrző pontokat állítanak fel és járőrözést végeznek, ellenőrzik a vasút- és buszállomásokat, megelőző intézkedéseket vezetnek be a határ közeli településeken.
