Másfél éves szabadságvesztésre ítélt a varsói kerületi bíróság egy lengyel férfit, aki együtt akart működni a fehérorosz hírszerzéssel – jelentette kedden a lengyel közszolgálati hírtelevízió (TVP Info).



Karol Borchólski, a lengyel állami ügyészség sajtóosztályának munkatársa a hírtévével közölte: a vád lőszerek engedély nélküli birtoklására is vonatkozott.
Borchólski nem tett említést arról, az ítélet jogerős-e.
Az elítélt Grzegorz M.-t a lengyel belbiztonsági ügynökség (ABW) 2021 októberében tartóztatta le.
A férfit a fehérorosz titkosszolgálat, a KDB javára folytatott kémkedéssel gyanúsították meg. A TVP Info akkor közölte: Grzegorz M. maga kereste a kapcsolatot a fehérorosz hírszerzéssel. 2020 szeptemberében a nyugat-fehéroroszországi Grodno (Hrodna) városában a KDB irodájában jelentkezett, felajánlva az együttműködést.
Kémkedési terveit és lengyelországi kapcsolatait Grzegorz M. később egy lengyel ABW-tiszt előtt fedte fel, aki a KDB munkatársaként mutatkozott be neki.
Grzegorz M. éveken át a lengyel rendvédelmi erőknél dolgozott. A szocializmus idején, 1981-től (a lengyelországi hadiállapot évétől) tagja volt a különleges belügyi alakulatoknak (ZOMO), ezt követően a népi milíciánál, vagyis a Lengyel Népköztársaság rendőrségénél szolgált, később, egészen 1999-ig pedig a rendőrségnél. 2001-ben nyugalmazták, akkor a lengyel határőrség főtörzsőrmestere volt.
