A Der Spiegel című német hetilap szerint a marokkói titkosszolgálatoknak a Száhel-övezetben működő dzsihadista csoportokkal fenntartott kapcsolatainak köszönhető, hogy Lange hazatérhetett. A férfit egy katonai repülőgép szállította Németországba – tette hozzá a hírmagazin.
Jörg Langét 2018. április 11-én rabolták el fegyveresek Niger nyugati részén, amely határos Malival. A térségben gyakoriak a dzsihadisták támadásai. A férfi nigériai sofőrjét nem sokkal később szabadon engedték.
Legalább négy nyugati túszt tartanak még fogva a Száhel-övezetben. Tavaly május 5-én rabolták el a francia Olivier Dubois-t, 2016 októberében az amerikai Jeffery Woodke-t, ugyanabban az évben januárban az ausztrál Arthur Kenneth Elliottot, míg a román Iulian Ghergut 2015 áprilisában esett fogságba.

A jelentés szerint az ombudsman elmondta, hogy az ukrán állam sajnálatos módon jelenleg nem tudja szavatolni az alkotmányos és a szabadságjogok betartását a megszállt területeken. „A honfitársaink kénytelenek a nemcsak az ukrán, hanem az emberi méltóságot is gyökeresen irtó agresszor állam természetes kiválasztódási törvényei szerint túlélni” – tette hozzá.
Deniszova emlékeztetett arra, hogy jelenleg 405 ukrán állampolgár – közte 44 katona és 30 nő – sínylődik Oroszország és a megszállt területek koncentrációs táboraiban és kínzókamráiban. Mint jelezte, az Oroszország által fogva tartott valamennyi ukrán állampolgár neve ismeretes.

Mintegy 10 évig tartott a lábain láncra verve egy most 75 éves férfit házának udvarában egy házaspár Mikolajiv megye Jelanec településén – adta hírül pénteken a strana.ua hírportál a megyei rendőrség sajtószolgálatára hivatkozva.
A közlés szerint a polgármestertől csütörtökön érkezett a bejelentés a helyi rendőrségre, hogy az egyik közösségi oldalon sokkoló videót látott egy lábán összeláncolt idős férfiról, akiben egyik falubelijét ismerte fel. A jelzett helyszínre kiérkezett rendőrjárőr kiderítette, hogy a 75 éves férfit 10 évvel ezelőtt vette gondnoksága alá egy házaspár, majd láncra verve tartotta az udvaron. Az idős embert a rendőrök kiszabadították fogságából.
A hatóság szabadságtól történő törvénytelen megfosztás és emberrablás címén indított büntetőeljárást a házaspár ellen. A hasonló bűncselekményeket a törvény öt évig terjedő szabadságvesztéssel bünteti.

Nagyezsda Bushueva 16 éves volt, amikor az anyja, Tatyana úgy döntött, hogy megóvja a lányát a világ veszélyeitől. Nem engedte neki, hogy tovább tanuljon. Bezárva éltek együtt a házukban, amiben nem volt víz és áram sem. Egy ágyban aludtak, a ház tele volt patkányokkal és macskákkal. Amikor a cicák elpusztultak, a tetemüket nem dobták ki. Az asszony macskaeledellel etette a lányát egész idő alatt.
Nagyezsda akkor tudott megmenekülni, amikor az anyja kórházba került, mert feltehetőleg agyvérzést kapott. Lánya ekkor már 42 éves volt. Elmondása szerint idővel megszokta a bezártságot és már nem akart megszökni.
Bevallása szerint 2006 óta nem is fürdött. Ez a haján látszott leginkább, ami egy nagy csomóba állt össze.
Az életem rosszabb volt, mint a macskáké. Egy élő halott vagyok
