Tűz ütött ki szombat hajnalban a franciaországi Chinon atomerőmű egy, az atomzónán kívül található transzformátoránál. A történtek miatt két reaktor is leállt.
A francia EDF áramszolgáltató közölte, szombatra virradó éjszaka tűz ütött ki az Indre-et-Loire megyei Chinon atomerőműben. Mint hangsúlyozták, a lángok az atomzónán kívül csaptak fel – írta a La Tribune.
Hajnali 2 óra 40 perc körül tűz ütött ki a 3-as számú termelőegység főtranszformátoránál, amely az atomzónán kívül található. A Chinon atomerőmű 3-as számú termelési blokkja automatikusan leállt a reaktor biztonsági és védelmi rendszereinek megfelelően – jelentette az EDF. A vállalat hozzátette, az üzem illetékes dolgozói és a mentőegységek csoportjai azonnal a helyszínre siettek, majd sikeresen eloltották a tüzet. Sérültekről vagy áldozatokról nem érkezett jelentés.
A Nukleáris Biztonsági Ügynökség (ASN) a honlapján jelezte, hogy belső vészhelyzeti tervet indítottak el a tűz fellángolásakor, ami által nemcsak a 3-as, hanem a 4-es gyártóegység is automatikusan leállt.
Az ASN jelezte, elemzik a történteket és ezt követően újra üzembe helyezik a leállt reaktorokat. A tűz kialakulásának okáról nem adtak bővebb ájékoztatást.
A Chinon atomerőműnek – amely Franciaország egyik legrégebbi atomerőműve – négy 900 MWe teljesítményű nyomás alatti vizes reaktora van. Az 1982 és 1987 között üzembe helyezett erőművek tavaly Franciaország nukleáris villamosenergia-termelésének 5,4 százalékát állították elő.
