2025. november 10-én délben, beregszászi járási Gáton közlekedési baleset történt a nemzetközi M–24-es úton.
A Rendkívüli Helyzetek Állami Szolgálatának (DSZNSZ) tájékoztatása szerint egy Renault betonkeverő teherautó sofőrje elvesztette uralmát a jármű felett, és az árokba sodródott. A teherautó kabinjának deformálódása miatt a férfi beszorult a vezetőfülkébe.
A sérültet beregszászi 17. állami tűzoltóság és a derceni önkéntes tűzoltók szabadították ki. Speciális hidraulikus eszközök segítségével felvágták a kabin egyes részeit, óvatosan kiszabadították a sofőrt, majd átadták a mentőknek.
A tűzoltók ezt követően eltávolították a járműdarabokat az útról, helyreállítva a biztonságos közlekedést.
A rendőrség vizsgálja a baleset körülményeit.

November 3-án Gát előtt közlekedési baleset történt, amelyben egy személyautó és egy kisbusz ütközött össze – közölte a Kárpátaljai Mentőszolgálat.
A helyszínre három mentőegység érkezett.
A személyautóban utazó család tagjai – egy 41 éves férfi, 35 éves felesége és 9 éves gyermekük – stabil állapotban kerültek a beregszászi kórházba.
Egy 21 éves fiatal férfit zárt koponya-agysérüléssel ugyancsak kórházba szállítottak.
A mikrobusz 49 éves sofőrje, aki többszörös sérüléseket szenvedett, a munkácsi Szent Márton Kórházba került további ellátásra.

Június 27-én 08:43-kor érkezett bejelentés a 101-es segélyhívó vonalra, miszerint a M–24-es főútvonalon (Nagydobrony – Munkács – Beregszász – Asztély) Gát község területén közlekedési baleset történt három jármű részvételével: egy Renault Master, egy Mercedes-Benz Sprinter és egy Dacia Logan ütközött össze.
A baleset következtében öt személy megsérült: a Renault Master sofőrje, a Mercedes-Benz vezetője és kiskorú utasa, valamint a személygépkocsi vezetője és utasa.
A Renault Master vezetője olyan súlyosan beszorult a fülkébe, hogy önerőből nem tudott kiszabadulni. A helyszínre a beregszászi 17. számú állami tűzoltó-mentőegység szakemberei érkeztek ki. Hidraulikus és más speciális mentőeszközök segítségével a mentők kiszabadították a férfit, majd átadták őt a mentőknek, akik a beregszászi kórházba szállították.
A másik két sérültet a munkácsi kórházban ápolják. A személyautó két utasa elutasította a kórházi kezelést.
A baleset körülményeit a rendőrség vizsgálja.

A beregszászi járási Gáton lévő AriZona étteremből érkezett bejelentés a rendőrséghez augusztus 10-én este.
A helyszínre kiérkezett az operatív csoport, akik megállapították, hogy kijevi idő szerint 22 órakor egy vendég érkezett az étterembe. A férfi egy ideig adekvátan viselkedett, majd egy pillanatban vitázni kezdett az intézmény tulajdonosával. A konfliktus a parkolóban folytatódott tovább, ebben a pillanatban vette elő pisztolyát a vendég és leadott egy lövést. Ezt követően beült Audi típusú járművébe és elhagyta a helyszínt.
A hatóságok rövid időn belül a nyomára bukkantak, Munkácson állították elő a 40 éves férfit, s lefoglalták nála az említett fegyvert is, ami az előzetes információk szerint egy startpisztoly volt.
A rendőrség büntetőeljárást indított az ügyben, a férfire akár 7 év börtönbüntetés is várhat.

A kínaiak azt mondják, a létesítménynek nincs komoly baja, és a gigantikus felépítmény ennél jóval nagyobb mennyiségű víznek is képes ellenállni, foglalja össze az Asia Times.

A kilépő zsilipek nyitásával átengedik a szokatlanul nagy mennyiségű víz egy részét a gáton július 19-én A gátért felelős, állami tulajdonú China Three Gorges Corporation nevű vállalat közlése szerint a víznyomás a külső szerkezeti elemek egy részét nem pusztán deformálta, hanem kis mértékben el is mozdította, aminek következetekben enyhe beszivárgást észleltek a fő külső falak egy részén, amelyek átjutottak a gáton.

Vízleengedés a duzzasztóból július 19-én A Hszinhua kiemelte, hogy a létesítmény működését leíró valamennyi mutató a referenciaértékek tartományán belül van, és folyamatosan nyomon követik azok alakulását. A Kínai Mérnöki Akadémia egyik tagja, a vízügyekért felelős minisztérium hidraulikai szakértője pedig azt közölte, a gát annyira erős, hogy kétszer olyan nagy víztömeget is képes megtartani, mint ami szombaton érte el a falait.
Az üzemeltető cég egyik szakembere pedig külön megnevezte azokat a tervezési sajátosságokat, melyek biztosítják, hogy a gát képes kitartani a mostani, rendkívül megnövekedett vízhozamban is, és védeni a Jangce mentén elhelyezkedő településeket az áradástól.
Az árvíz elleni védelem szempontja az egyik fő kérdése volt a gát építésének, amit az akkor és azóta is sokat vitatott projekt elfogadásakor, 1994-ben a kínai vezetés keresztülvitt az Országos Népi Gyűlésen.
Az üzemeltető cégnél ugyanakkor azt mondják, pusztán a Három-szurdok-gát nem elegendő a mostani árhullámok elleni védekezéshez a Jangcén, a folyó valamennyi szakaszán erőfeszítéseket kell tenni annak sikeréért.
