Kórházba került a volt grúz miniszterelnök, az ellenzéki Giorgi Gakharia, miután kedden késő este megverte egy férfiakból álló csoport egy szállodában. Gakhariának állítólag eltört az orra a Fekete-tengernél fekvő Batumiban történt incidens során, az erről készült felvételen vér látható az ingén. Pártja szerint ez a támadás politikai indíttatású volt, és az ellenzék megfélemlítését célozta, írja a BBC.
Felmerült, hogy a kormányzó Grúz Álom pártnak is köze lehet az incidenshez, amit Anitta Hipper, az Európai Bizottság szóvivője megdöbbentőnek nevezett, és azt mondta, egyetlen demokráciában sincs helye az erőszaknak.
Giorgi Gakharia szerda reggel azt írta a közösségi médiában közzétett bejegyzésében, hogy egészségügyileg jól van, de az őt kezelő orvos azt mondta, hogy eltört egy csont az orrában, és agyrázkódást szenvedett. Nemrég szintén támadás érte Zviad Koridzét, a Transparency International korrupcióellenes szervezet regionális vezetőjét.
A grúz belügyminisztérium (MIA) vizsgálatot indított a Grúziáért párt vezetője, Giorgi Gakharia volt miniszterelnök elleni támadás ügyében – jelentette az APA tbiliszi tudósítója.
A szervezet közleménye szerint a nyomozás a Btk. 126. cikkelye (erőszak) alapján folyik.
A „Grúziáért” párt is kiadott egy nyilatkozatot az esettel kapcsolatban. Azt jelentették, hogy Gakharia Batumiban volt egy bírósági tárgyaláson, amikor megtámadták. A párt a kormánypártot okolta az esetért.
Megjegyezte, hogy Giorgi Gakhariának, akit kedd este megtámadtak, orrtörése és agyrázkódása volt. Szabad akaratából hagyta el a klinikát, ahová egy mentőcsapat vitte.

Az ellenzéki képviselő elmondása szerint a konfliktus előző este történt, amikor egy ismeretlen személy behatolt „Girchi” irodájába, és szóban inzultálta a párt tagjait.
„Mindezt a (kormányzó párt) „Grúz álom” és a Patriarchátus piszkos propagandája okozza. Egy férfi jött be az irodába, akinek a bátyját egyszer kiszabadítottuk a hadseregből a „Biblia Szabadság” segítségével – magyarázta Khvichia.
Azután Amerikába utazott. Most a bátyja, a propagandára támaszkodva… úgy döntött, hogy a testvérét a Sátánnak adtuk. Bejött az irodába, közbeavatkoztam, ő pedig egy lendületből megütött a kezével” – tette hozzá.
Khvichia megjegyezte, hogy nem működik együtt a nyomozással, és nem tett feljelentést a rendőrségen.

A hírt a Novosztyi-Grúzia közölte a Nemzeti Szeizmológiai Ellenőrzőközpontra hivatkozva. Az első, 4,6-es erősségű földrengést, melynek epicentruma 4 km-re volt Tbiliszitől, Lelubani falu irányában, 27 km-es mélységben, helyi idő szerint 08:00-kor rögzítették.
A másik földrengés 09:21-kor történt, 3-as erősségű volt, epicentruma 120 km-re volt Tbiliszitől Kakhetiban, 18 km-es mélységben.

Egyre nő a civileknek eladott lőfegyverek száma, még azok is fegyverboltba járnak, akik korábban soha nem fogtak fegyvert a kezükbe.
Az ukrajnai háború kezdete óta Grúziában folyamatosan emelkedik a civileknek eladott kézifegyverek száma. Bár hivatalos adatok nem állnak rendelkezésre, a lőfegyverforgalmazók szerint a kereslet érzelmi válaszreakció; a lakosság attól tart, hogy Moszkva újra lerohanhatja Grúziát, így az emberek önvédelemi céllal fegyverkeznek.
Az egyik fegyverkereskedés alapítója úgy véli, “az emberek attól félnek, hogy az oroszok ide is eljönnek. Azért vásárolnak fegyvert, hogy megvédjék magukat és a családjukat.”
Még azok is felkeresik a fegyverboltokat, akik még soha nem fogtak fegyvert a kezükben. A hatóságokat aggasztja a “fegyverboom”, tavaly augusztusban a parlament olyan törvénymódosítást fogadott el, amely szigorítja a lőfegyverek ellenőrzését.
“Az egyénnek be kell mutatnia a tulajdonában lévő vadászpuskát, hogy a ballisztikai adatok megszerzése érdekében speciális tűzgyakorlatot lehessen tartani. Ezt a változtatást a bűnmegelőzés fokozása és a fegyvertartási eljárások szigorítása érdekében fogadták el” – nyilatkozta a grúz belügyminisztérium illetékese.
A civileknek nem tetszik a módosítás. Szerintük az ellenőrzés kárt tehet drága fegyvereikben és az ellenőrök biztonságát is veszélyezteti.
“Szerintem ez kontraproduktív. Az eljárás, akárcsak a ballisztikai vizsgálat, veszélyezteti a fegyvert és az azt vizsgáló személyzetet is” – véli az egyik amatőr lövészegylet tagja.
A személyi biztonságot az is veszélyezteti, hogy Grúziában nincsenek engedélyezett, hivatalos lőterek, ahol a civilek szigorúan ellenőrzött körülmények mellett gyakorolhatnának.
