 Szemtanúk beszámolói szerint a randalírozók egy része felkészülten érkezett: kapucniban, arcukat eltakarva, tűzijáték-rakétákkal felszerelkezve jelentek meg az utcákon. Többen úgy vélték, hogy ezek a csoportok nem a PSG sikerét akarták megünnepelni, hanem tudatosan balhét kerestek. A zavargásoknak egy súlyos sérültje is van: az illető egy, a rendőrök felé irányított rakéta elsütése közben sérült meg.
