Az egész világot megrázta a hír, hogy meggyilkolták Charlie Kirk konzervatív aktivistát, miközben egy utahi egyetemi rendezvényen beszédet tartott a tömeg előtt helyi idő szerint szerda dél körül. Charlie Kirk az emberek kérdéseire válaszolt, amikor lövés dördült el, a golyó eltalálta a politikus nyakát. Kórházba szállították, de belehalt sérüléseibe.

A lövöldözés után hatalmas volt a káosz, egymásnak ellentmondó információk terjedtek az interneten. Az FBI később megerősítette, hogy a gyilkosság után őrizetbe vettek két embert, akiket kihallgattak, de bizonyíték hiányában szabadon engedték.

Senkit sem szabadna letartóztatással, büntetőeljárással vagy börtönbüntetéssel sújtani szexuális irányultsága vagy nemi identitása miatt. Ahelyett, hogy a nemi sztereotípiák és a mélyen gyökerező homofób attitűdök alapján zaklatják az embereket, a tunéziai hatóságoknak azonnal és feltétel nélkül szabadon kell engedniük mindenkit, akit tényleges vagy vélt szexuális irányultsága vagy nemi identitása miatt vettek őrizetbe, és olyan eljárásrendet kell bevezetniük, amelyek biztosítják az LMBTQ emberek jogainak védelmét” – mondta Diana Eltahawy, az Amnesty International közel-keleti és észak-afrikai regionális igazgatóhelyettese.
A szervezet négy olyan LMBTQ jogvédő aktivistával és három ügyvéddel is beszélt, akik letartóztatott személyeket képviselnek. Saif Ayadi queer aktivista attól tart, hogy a letartóztatottak tényleges száma magasabb, mint amennyit szervezete dokumentálni tudott. „A számaink a közösség tagjainak nyújtott közvetlen segítségen alapulnak, beleértve a jogi segítségnyújtást is; ez nem teljes körű. Becsléseink szerint a valós szám legalább háromszor magasabb, mert amikor néhány évvel ezelőtt hozzáférhettünk a büntetőeljárások hivatalos számaihoz, azt tapasztaltuk, hogy a dokumentációnk átlagosan csak az érintettek legfeljebb egyharmadát fedte le.”
Tunéziában a meleg férfiakat és a transznemű embereket gyakran sztereotípiák alapján, a viselkedés vagy külső megjelenés alapján tartóztatják le. A letartóztatottak ügyvédjeinek többsége arról számol be, hogy a rendőrök elkobozták és jogellenesen átkutatták az érintettek mobiltelefonjait.
A letartóztatási hullámot egy nagyszabású online kampány előzte meg tavaly szeptemberben. Kirekesztő homofób és transzfób gyűlöletbeszéd vette célba az LMBTQ aktivistákat és szervezeteket a közösségi médiában több száz oldalról, köztük a Kais Said elnököt támogató felületekről. A hagyományos médiában népszerű televíziós és rádiós műsorvezetők gyújtó hangvételű üzenetekben támadták az LMBTQ szervezeteket, azok feloszlatására és az aktivisták letartóztatására szólítottak fel.
Az azonos neműek közötti szexuális kapcsolat 3 évig terjedő börtönnel büntethető Tunéziában, ez pedig kiszolgáltatottá teszi az LMBTQ személyeket a rendőri erőszaknak és visszaéléseknek. A rendőrök gyakran kihasználják a letartóztatástól és büntetőeljárástól való félelmet, és zsarolásnak, időnként akár szexuális zaklatásnak teszik ki a célpontjaikat. Egyes esetekben a letartóztatottakat a biztonsági szervek csalják csapdába a közösségi médiában és a társkereső alkalmazásokban, vagy épp adathalászat áldozatai lesznek. Néhányan arról számoltak be, hogy a biztonsági erők tagjai a közösségi médiában és randiappokon melegnek adták ki magukat, hogy megzsarolják áldozataikat, azzal fenyegetve őket, hogy lebuktatják vagy letartóztatják őket, többek között „online prostitúcióra való felhívásért”. Az ügyvédek arról is beszámoltak, hogy 2024-ben megszaporodtak az LMBTQ emberek otthonaiban hatósági végzés nélkül végrehajtott rendőrségi razziák száma.
A letartóztatások nemcsak LMBTQ személyeket érinthetnek, de azokat is, akik nem tartják be a nemi normákat, illetve a nemi megjelenésük vagy kifejezésük nem felel meg a nemi normáknak – mondja Diana Eltahawy.
Októberben az igazságügyi minisztérium közleményt adott ki, amelyben elítélte a közösségi médiaplatformok, például a TikTok és az Instagram növekvő használatát „a közerkölcsökkel ellentétes tartalmak” terjesztése miatt, és felszólította az ügyészeket, hogy „tegyék meg a szükséges bírósági intézkedéseket és indítsanak nyomozást bárki ellen, aki olyan tartalmú adatokat, képeket és videoklipeket készít, jelenít meg vagy tesz közzé, amelyek aláássák az erkölcsi értékeket”. Néhány nappal a nyilatkozat után már öt közösségi médiás tartalomkészítőt tartóztattak le többek között „közszeméremsértés és jó erkölcsbe ütköző tartalom terjesztése” miatt. Őket először négy és fél évig terjedő börtönbüntetésre ítélték, fellebbezésük után négyen az ítéletük enyhítésével február elején szabadulhattak, egyikük azonban így is 2 év börtönbüntetést és pénzbírságot kapott.

Berlinben szerdán a rendőrök egy férfit ellenőrizni akartak Neukölln városrész városi gyorsvasútpályaudvarán délután, ám elmenekült, hátrahagyva táskáját, melyben robbanószert találtak. A szökésben lévő férfi után hajtóvadászat indult – közölték a német főváros rendvédelmi hatóságai az X-en.
A táskát a rendőrök egy közeli parkolóba vitték és a környéket lezárták, majd a táskát és tartalmát este tűzszerészek robbantották fel, ellenőrzött körülmények között. A B.Z. tartományi lap szerint erősen robbanásveszélyes anyagról volt szó, amelynek hangja a robbantáskor több száz méterre is elhallatszott. A hatóságok közölték, hogy a nyomozás minden irányba elindult, de egyelőre nincs arra utaló jel, hogy egy tervezett terrorcselekményt sikerült volna elhárítani.
A nyomozásba ugyanakkor bevonták a tartományi bűnüldözési hivatal politikai indíttatású erőszakos cselekmények ügyében illetékes állambiztonsági szolgálatát.

Hajtóvadászat indult Londonban egy olyan férfi után, aki maró hatású vegyi anyaggal támadt rá egy 31 éves nőre és két kisgyerekére – írja a Reuters.
A támadás még szerda este történt a dél-londoni Claphamben. Az anya és a kisebbik, 3 éves lánya is élethosszig tartó sérüléseket szenvedett, de a nagyobbik, 8 éves lánya is megsérült.
A nő és gyermekei segítségére sietők, három másik nő és egy férfi, valamit a helyszínre kiérkező öt rendőr is könnyebb égési sérüléseket szenvedett a maró anyagtól a helyszínen.
A gyanúsított egy 35 éves férfi, Abdul Shokoor Ezedi afgán bevándorló. Az ügy politikai témává is vált, miután a sajtóban megjelent, hogy a férfi annak ellenére kapott menedékjogot az Egyesült Királyságban, hogy korábban szexuális zaklatásért elítélték.

Amint azt arról már mi is írtunk, szerda éjjel egy gépfegyveres támadó elképesztő tömegmészárlást rendezett Lewistonban. A gyanúsított a tragédia után elmenekült, most megtalálták. A 40 éves Robert Card feltételezhetően önkezűleg vetett véget életének – közölte Michael Sauschuck, Maine állam közbiztonsági biztosa. Az áldozatok életkora 14 és 76 év között volt.
Janet Mills Maine állam kormányzója péntek esti sajtótájékoztatóján azt mondta: „Meghalt. (…) A Maine állambeli rendőrség megtalálta a holttestet”.
Ma este megkönnyebbülten fellélegeztem, mert tudom, hogy Robert Card senkire sem jelent már veszélyt – mondta.
Michael Sauschuck, Maine állam közbiztonsági főnöke szerint a 40 éves Robert Card, a hadsereg tartalékos katonája valószínűleg lőfegyverrel követett el öngyilkosságot.
A hatóságok azt közölték, hogy nem tudják megmondani, mikor vetett véget életének a gyanúsított. A férfi szerda este egy félautomata puskával felfegyverkezve tüzet nyitott Lewinstonban egy bowlingpályán, majd mintegy tíz perccel később a 36 ezer lakosú város egyik bár-éttermében, 18 embert megölt és 13-at megsebesített.
Robert Card holttestére este (helyi idő szerint) negyed nyolckor bukkantak egy folyó mellett Lisbon Fallsban, mintegy húsz percre Lewiston városától, ahol a lövöldözés történt. Az autóját a közelben találták meg.
A szerdai mészárlás volt a legsúlyosabb az Egyesült Államokban a texasi Uvalde iskolájában történt lövöldözés óta, ahol egy fegyveres 2022 májusában 19 gyereket és két tanárnőt lőtt agyon.

18 halottja van eddig az amerikai Maine állambeli Lewistonban szerda este történt lövöldözésnek, amiben egy férfi egymás után két helyszínen is tüzet nyitott az emberekre – jelentette csütörtök délután tartott sajtótájékoztatóján Janet Mills kormányzó. Az áldozatok közül nyolcat azonosítottak, tíznél még folyik az eljárás.
A gyanúsított egy bowlingpályán és egy étteremben lőtt rá az emberekre, az előzetes vizsgálat szerint egy gépkarabélyt használt. A két helyszín pár perces autóútra, körülbelül négy mérföldre (6,5 km) van egymástól. A fegyveres a bowlingpályán hat férfit és egy nőt ölt meg, az étteremnél pedig hét férfit a létesítményben, egyet pedig előtte lőtt le.
15 sérültet szállítottak összesen a Central Maine Healthcare Centerbe, közülük hárman a kórházban belehaltak a lőtt sérülésekbe. Két sérültet az orvosok elláttak és hazaengedtek, kettőt pedig átszállítottak másik kórházakba. A nyolc jelenleg ott kezelt közül ötnek stabil, háromnak pedig kritikus az állapota – mondta a központ főorvosa.
Janet Mills mindenkit arra kért, hogy segítse a hatóságokat a menekülő tettes elfogásában. A rendőrség egyértelműen azonosította az elkövetőt, a 40 éves Robert Cardot, aki képzett lőfegyveroktató, tartalékos katona, a feltételezések szerint rendőrségi adóvevővel rendelkezik, és nyomon követi a hatóságok mozgását.
A hírek szerint a férfi mentális problémákkal küzdött, „hangokat hallott”, de cselekményének indítéka egyelőre nem világos. A gyanúsított tartózkodási helyét továbbra sem ismerik, a járművét megtalálták a Lewiston városával szomszédos Lisbonban.
A lövöldöző kézre kerítésében több száz nyomozó vesz részt, a helyi, állami és szövetségi hatóságokat is mozgósították, különleges egységek is a helyszínre érkeztek, valamint a Szövetségi Nyomozó Iroda emberei.
A rendőrség a kutatás érdekében több települést lezárt, és a lakosság biztonsága érdekben elrendelte, hogy mindenki maradjon otthon, az iskolák is zárva tartanak.

Az osztrák rendőrség közlése szerint szombaton késő este négy ember sérült meg lövések és késelés következtében Bécsben. A Kronen Zeitung információi szerint egy bandaháború eszkalálódott a fővárosban.
Markus Dittrich rendőrségi szóvivő szerint a gyanúsítottak korábban két autóval menekültek. Nem sokkal később az autókat lefoglalták. Egy fekete Mercedesről és egy piros színű elektromos autóról van szó. Négy gyanúsítottat nem sokkal később letartóztattak – erősítette meg a hajtóvadászatot indító rendőrség késő este.
A sérülteket a bécsi hivatásos mentők sürgősségi orvosi ellátásban részesítették, és kórházba szállították. A rendőrségi szóvivő szerint legalább egy lőfegyver mellett szúrófegyvereket is használtak a támadók. Úgy tudni, hogy senki sem szenvedett életveszélyes sérüléseket.
Az első információk szerint az erőszakos cselekmény hátterében valószínűleg a csecsenek és afgánok közötti konfliktus áll. A bűncselekmény indítékát még vizsgálják.
A rendőrség nagy erőkkel vonult ki a lövöldözés helyszínére, amit lezártak. A lakosságot arra kérték, hogy kerüljék el a területet.
„A jogrendünket semmibe vevő bűnszövetkezeteknek nincs helyük az országunkban. Köszönetet szeretnék mondani a bécsi rendőrségnek, amely teljes gőzzel nyomoz e bűnözői csoportok után” – nyilatkozta szombat este Gerhard Karner osztrák belügyminiszter.

Négy helyszínen négy embert lőtt agyon egy fegyveres szombaton az Egyesült Államok béli Georgia állam egy kisvárosában, Hamptonben, majd elmenekült, a rendőrség hajtóvadászatot indított.
Az Atlantától 50 kilométerre délre fekvő településen szombaton tartott sajtótájékoztatón a hatóság arról számolt be, hogy a tettes egy 40 éves helyi férfi, Andre Longmore, aki pisztollyal felfegyverkezve menekült el. A hatóság arra hívta fel lakosság figyelmét, hogy a szökésben lévő bűnöző veszélyes, a nyomravezetőnek ugyanakkor 10 ezer dollárt ajánlottak fel.
Az áldozatok – három férfi és egy nő – nevét nem hozták nyilvánosságra a hozzátartozókra hivatkozva, és egyelőre a támadás indítékát sem közölték.
A Georgia állambeli erőszakos cselekménnyel együtt idén már 31 „tömeges lövöldözés” besorolású esetet tartanak nyilván az amerikai hatóságok, ezekben összesen legkevesebb 153 ember halt meg.

A gyanúsított harminc év körüli, elvált, három gyerek apja, 2011 és 2016 között szolgált a francia hadseregben.
Francine Bourra, a település polgármestere az AFP hírügynökségnek elmondta: a férfinál több fegyver is van, sportos, gyorsan mozog, nagyon makacs ember. A település körüli 4-5 kilométeres erdős körzetben van olyan hely, ahova nehéz bejutni.
A gyanúsított korábban börtönben ült családon belüli erőszak miatt, szabadulása óta elektromos nyomkövetőt visel.
A rendőrség tájékoztatása szerint a férfi éjfélkor jelent meg volt élettársa lakhelyén, ahol bántalmazta a nő jelenlegi párját. Ez utóbbinak sikerült elmenekülnie, de a volt katona üldözőbe vette, majd a település utcáján azt kiabálta, hogy meg akarja a csendőröket ölni, akiket időközben riasztottak a helyiek. A gyanúsított rájuk is lőtt, és két hatósági járművet súlyosan megrongált.
Rendőrségi források szerint a gyanúsított volt élettársa és a gyerekei jól vannak, a csendőrség biztonságos helyre kimenekítette őket.
Frédéric Périssat, Dordogne megye prefektusa vasárnap délelőtt a France Bleu Dordogne helyi rádióban arra kérte a helyi lakosságot, hogy zárkózzon be és ne hagyja el otthonát, amíg nem fogják el a szökésben lévő gyanúsítottat.
Néhány hónappal ezelőtt a közép-franciaországi Puy-de-Dome megyében hasonló eset történt. 2020. december 23-ra virradó éjjel egy volt katona három csendőrt megölt és egy negyediket súlyosan megsebesített fegyverével. A hatóságokat a férfi volt élettársa riasztotta, miután a párja bántalmazta, és emiatt kimenekült a háza tetejére. A fegyveres férfi végül felgyújtotta a házat, majd elmenekült a helyszínről a gépkocsijával, amelyben másfél kilométerrel arrébb holtan találtak rá, kezében fegyverrel.
