Francia ügyészség nyomozást indított az ausztrál Kick videóplatform ellen, miután Raphaël Graven, más néven Jean Pormanove a platformon tartott élő közvetítés közben hunyt el – írja a BBC. A hatóságok azt vizsgálják, hogy a platform tudatában volt-e a tartalom veszélyességének, és eleget tett-e az Európai Unió digitális szolgáltatásokról szóló szabályainak.
Raphael Graven, a közösségi médiában Jean Pormanove néven ismert 46 éves férfit múlt héten találták holtan egy Nice közeli ingatlanban. Graven rendszeresen olyan videókban szerepelt, amelyekben látszólagos erőszakot és megaláztatást kellett elszenvednie.
A párizsi ügyészség közleménye szerint a vizsgálat arra terjed ki, hogy a Kick tudatosan sugárzott-e „személyi integritást szándékosan sértő tartalmakat”. A platform szóvivője megerősítette, hogy a cég tisztában van a nyomozással, és jogi tanácsot kér, ugyanakkor együttműködik a hatóságokkal.
A vizsgálat annak felderítésére is kiterjed, hogy a Kick megfelelt-e az Európai Unió digitális szolgáltatásokról szóló törvényének, amely előírja a platformok számára, hogy értesítsék a hatóságokat, ha valakinek az élete vagy biztonsága veszélyben van. Clara Chappaz francia digitális ügyekért felelős miniszter külön közleményben jelezte, hogy a kormány a platformot „gondatlanság” miatt perelné, amiért nem blokkolta a „veszélyes tartalmat”.
Gravent augusztus 18-án találták holtan.
Helyi médiumok beszámolója szerint az áldozatot a streamjei során erőszak és alvásmegvonás érte, és végül élő közvetítés közben, álmában halt meg.
A boncolás megállapította, hogy a halál nem traumából vagy harmadik fél cselekedetéből ered. A helyi rendőrség lefoglalta a videókat, és kihallgatott több szemtanút, akik a férfi halálakor jelen voltak. Korábbi rendőrségi beszélgetések alapján Graven tagadta, hogy erőszak áldozata lenne, és azt állította, hogy a történtek a figyelemfelkeltés és a bevételszerzés érdekében előre megrendezett jelenetek voltak.

Egy petefészekrákban elhunyt anya családja, akik szerint hintőpornak köze volt a betegséghez, megesküdött, hogy harcolni fog, amíg igazságot nem szolgáltatnak. A 46 éves Richard Wright 13 évesen vesztette el anyját, Maureent rák miatt, de most csatlakozott a Johnson & Johnson gyógyszeripari óriáscég elleni csoportos perhez, hogy az igazságért küzdjön.
Az igazságért küzd egy család, akik petefészekrák miatt vesztették el édesanyjukat, állításuk szerint a betegség hintőpor miatt alakulhatott ki. Richard Wright és családja is csatlakozott a világ egyik legnagyobb vállalata elleni perhez. A legnagyobb hintőpor értékesítő ellen indított tömeges fellépés az egyre növekvő félelmek közepette indult el, amelyek szerint a termékeiben lévő azbeszt petefészekrákot okoz az embereknek.
Richard apjával, Jeffrey-vel, valamint testvéreivel, Robert-tel és Michael-lel most úgy gondolják, anyjuk halála mögött is az azbeszttel szennyezett hintőpor állhat.
A KP Law jelenleg 2000 jogi ügyön dolgozik az egyik legnagyobb hintőpor értékesítő ellen. Levelet küldtek a cégnek, akiknek év végéig kell válaszolniuk, mielőtt benyújtják a dokumentumokat a Legfelsőbb Bírósághoz.
Richard kiemelte, hogy azt szeretné elérni, hogy valakit felelősségre vonjanak a szennyezett termékek miatt, így édesanyja és mindenki más, aki érintett az ügyben végre megkapja az igazságot.

Ott ült az egész család és legkisebb, 5 éves testvérének el kellett magyarázni, hogy az anyjuk meghalt.
A vállalat tagadja, hogy elhallgatott volna bármilyen információt és tagadja, hogy bármiféle kapcsolat lenne a hintőpor, az azbeszt és a rák között. A cég azonban már több mint 6 milliárd dollárt különített el petefészekrákos esetek rendezésére az Egyesült Államokban és további 4 milliárd dollárt a mesotheliomával diagnosztizált emberek számára ‒ írta a Mirror.

A New York-i főügyészi hivatal közleménye szerint a büntetés-végrehajtási intézmény több mint egy tucat munkatársa lehetett jelen, amikor nekiestek Robert Brooksnak. Az intézmény tizennégy munkatársát a vizsgálatok idejére felfüggesztették. A pénteken nyilvánosságra hozott négy testkamerás felvételen az látszik, hogy megbilincselték a 43 éves férfit, majd verni kezdték. Az őrök perceken keresztül ütötték Brooksot, aki a felvételek szerint nem tudott védekezni sem.
Miután felrakták az asztalra, az egyik őr zárt ököllel mellkason ütötte a rabot, de az ágyékát is megtaposták. A testkamerás felvételek alapján két ápoló mindeközben a folyosón várakozik, és időnként bekukkantanak a szobába. A végén aztán behívják az ápolókat a szobába, hogy ellenőrizzék, életben van-e még a 43 éves férfi.
Az orvosszakértő jelentése szerint Brooks töréseket és sérüléseket szenvedett a felsőtestén, az ágyékán, a nyakán és a fején, valószínűleg „a nyak összenyomódása miatti fulladás következtében” halt meg.
Az államügyész közleményében arról írt: felelőssége és kötelessége átláthatóságot, elszámoltathatóságot biztosítani az áldozat családjának és New York állam minden polgárának. Ezzel indokolta a felvételek közzétételét is.
A New York-i Polgárjogi Unió (NYCLU) közleménye szerint Brooks bántalmazása nem elszigetelt eset, és megmutatja, hogy következmények nélkül bántalmazhatják az őrök a rabokat.

A hotel bárjában, egy csapos mérgezett meg hat turistát, miután metanollal szennyezett ingyen vodkát adott nekik.
Álomutazásnak indult, de tragédiába torkollott. A hat fiatal halálát követően Laoszban folytatódik a nyomozás. A turisták egy Vang Vieng-i hotel bárjában tett látogatás után haltak meg. A jelentések szerint a turisták tudtukon kívül metanollal kevert italokat fogyasztottak – ez a mérgező anyag gyakran fordul elő illegálisan gyártott alkoholban.
Az első vizsgálatok szerint a mérgezést hamisított vodka okozta. A csapos állítólag „a vendégszeretet gesztusaként” ingyenes Tiger Vodka shotokat kínált a hotel vendégeinek. Az eset után házkutatást tartottak, és nyolc alkalmazottat vettek őrizetbe.
A hotel menedzserét, Duong Duc Toant is letartóztatták és kihallgatták – ezt a laoszi rendőrség erősítette meg. Toan tagadja, hogy a Tiger Vodka felelős lenne a mérgezésért, állítása szerint az egy tanúsított kereskedőtől származik. A vodka-shotokat körülbelül 100 vendégnek szolgálták fel, és a hotelhez nem érkeztek további panaszok.
Az áldozatok között van a 19 éves Bianca J. Melbourne-ből. Barátnője, a szintén 19 éves Holly B. pedig napokig kritikus állapotban feküdt az intenzív osztályon, mesterséges lélegeztetésre szorult. De Holly B. is elhunyt kilenc nappal az eset után. Ő volt a hatodik halálos áldozat.
Rajta kívül egy brit ügyvédnő, a 28 éves Simone W. továbbá két dán fiatal, egy 19 és egy 20 éves nő, valamint egy amerikai turista is meghalt.
Ausztrália és Nagy-Britannia utazási figyelmeztetéseket adott ki Laoszra vonatkozóan a hamisított alkohol fogyasztása miatti metanolmérgezés kockázatáról. A metanolt ipari és háztartási termékekben, például fagyállókban, lakkokban vagy festékhígítókban használják. Az olcsó metanollal drága szeszes italokat szoktak hígítani. Fogyasztása vakságot, májkárosodást vagy halált okozhat. Már 25‒90 milliliter is halálos lehet.

Az államtitkártól Orbán Viktor a Facebookon búcsúzott, azt írta: „Potápi Árpád minden magyarért megharcolt, és most megpihent. Isten veled, Barátom! Hiányozni fogsz.” Kocsis Máté azt írta, Potápi Árpád a magyar nemzetpolitika nagy harcosa volt.. „Távozása óriási veszteség és felfoghatatlan csapás a frakciónk számára. Osztozunk családja fájdalmában.”
A kormány.hu-n elérhető életrajza szerint a politikus 1967. március 28-án, Bonyhádon született, ott is érettségizett majd a bonyhádi Vörösmarty Mihály Általános Iskola képesítés nélküli nevelője volt. 1991-ben általános iskolai tanári oklevelet szerzett Szegeden, 1991 és 1994 között pedig elvégezte az Eötvös Loránd Tudományegyetem történelem szakát.
Tanított is: 1991-től 1993-ig a szegedi Tarjánvárosi 4. Sz. Általános Iskola, 1993-tól pedig a Bonyhádi Petőfi Sándor Evangélikus Gimnázium és Kollégium tanára volt. Potápi Árpád János 1998-tól 2011-ig a Bukovinai Székelyek Országos Szövetségének elnöke, 2004 és 2014 között pedig a völgységi kistérség önkormányzatai alkotta társulásnak elnöke volt. 2002-től 2014-ig Bonyhád polgármestereként tevékenykedett.
A politikai életbe 1993-ban kapcsolódott be, az 1994-es országgyűlési választásokon ő volt a Fidesz bonyhádi kampányfőnöke. 2007-től a Tolna Megyei Választmány elnöke, 2011-től 2014 áprilisáig a Fidesz frakció egyik frakcióvezető-helyettese volt.
1998 óta egyéni mandátummal országgyűlési képviselő volt, 2022-ben hetedik alkalommal, nagy többséggel szerzett lakóhelyén, Tolna megye 2. számú, Dombóvár központú választókerületében országgyűlési képviselői mandátumot. 2011 és 2014 között az Országgyűlés Nemzeti Összetartozás Bizottságának elnöke volt, 2014 óta pedig a Miniszterelnökség nemzetpolitikáért felelős államtitkára volt. Potápi Árpád Jánosnak két gyereke van.

A férfit a betegsége ellenére mozgósították. A nyomozók előzetes vizsgálatot folytatnak az elhunyt állampolgár ügyében, hogy megállapítsák, jogszerű volt-e a mozgósítása a hadseregbe egészségi állapotának a figyelembevételével. Ezenkívül a hatóság ellenőrizni akarja, hogy megkapta-e az elhunyt az epilepsziás rohama után a megfelelő orvosi ellátást az alakulatánál.

A lengyelországi Wroclaw városában a detoxikálóban meghalt egy ukrán állampolgár, akit a rendőrök szállítottak be.
Július 30-án, Wroclawban a rendőrök egy állítólag részeg ukrán állampolgárt vittek be a detoxikálóba (kijózanító), ahol a férfi a rendőrökkel való incidenst követően meghalt. Az eset csak ma, augusztus 18-án vált ismertté a Gazeta Wyborcza című kiadványban megjelent publikáció alapján.
Az újságíró közölte, a rendőrség egy „agresszív, ittas”, buszban alvó férfit vitt be a wroclawi detoxikáló állomásra. A dokumentumok ellenőrzése során megállapították, hogy egy ukrán állampolgárral van dolguk. A fogvatartott szervezetében 1,5 ppm alkoholt találtak. A bilincs levétele után az őrizetbe vett férfi ököllel ütötte meg az egyik rendőrt, a másiknak pedig megharapta az ujját. Hogy lehiggadjon, a rendfenntartók még egy járőr csoportot hívtak a helyszínre. A férfi látszólag csak azt követően nyugodott meg, hogy megkötözték.
A Gazeta Wyborcza forrása szerint néhány perccel később a férfi kékülni és fulladozni kezdett, majd meghalt.
A halál okát boncolás és toxikológiai vizsgálat határozza meg. A nyomozók nem zárják ki, hogy az elhunyt szervezetében az alkohol mellett más anyagok is voltak – például drogok. Az ügyben a swidnicai kerületi ügyészség nyomoz.

Agyhalott lett a 12 éves Joshua Haileyesus, miután részt vett egy TikTok kihívásban, ahol a felhasználókat arra ösztönzik, hogy fojtsák meg magukat – írja a Daily Star.
A coloradói fiatal fiúra ikertestvére talált rá a fürdőszobájuk padlóján még március 22-én.
A fiút azonnal kórházba szállították, azóta lélegeztető gép tartotta életbe, de szervezete a héten feladta a küzdelmet, meghalt.
A családja szerint Joshua Haileyesus egy halálos kihívásnak akart megfelelni, melyben arra buzdítják a felhasználókat, hogy fojtsák meg magukat.
A TikTok-on „Blackout Challenge”, „Passout Challenge”, „The Choking Game” vagy „Speed Dreaming” néven is ismert kihívás lényege, hogy a résztvevők háztartási cikkekkel eszméletlenségig fojtogatják magukat.
Megtalálása előtt napokkal a testvérének azzal dicsekedett, hogy egy percig visszatudja tartani a lélegzetét.
A szülők szeretnék felhívni a figyelmet, hogy mindenkinek jobban oda kell figyelni a gyerekükre.
„Ez nem móka, ez olyan mintha valaki fegyvert fogna rájuk. Ez ennyire veszélyes” – Joshua szülei tragédiájukkal akarnak figyelmeztetni másokat.
A TikTok felhasználóinak ajánlott jelenteniük azokat a videókat, amelyben arra ösztönzik az embereket, hogy veszélyes kihívásban vegyenek részt.
