Súlyos közlekedési baleset rázta meg Irán déli részét, amikor egy autóbusz felborult a Fars tartományban fekvő Shiraz város közelében.
A tragikus esemény következtében legalább 15 ember életét vesztette, míg további 27 fő megsérült – jelentette az IRNA, az ország hivatalos állami hírügynöksége. A helyszíni mentést Masoud Abed, Fars tartomány sürgősségi egészségügyi szolgálatának vezetője irányította, aki megerősítette:
„A jelenlegi információk szerint tizenöt halálos áldozatról és huszonhét sérültről tudunk. A mentéshez tizenegy mentőautót és két mentőbuszt küldtünk ki.” – nyilatkozta az állami médiának. A baleset Shiraz városától délre történt, az érintett busz pontos útvonaláról és a baleset okáról egyelőre nem közöltek részleteket. A mentőegységek gyors beavatkozása ellenére sok utas már nem élte túl a borulással járó ütközést.
Az ABC News is megerősítette az állami média beszámolóit, külön kiemelve, hogy az iráni közúti biztonság továbbra is súlyos problémákkal küzd. Évente mintegy 17 000 ember veszti életét közúti balesetekben az országban, ami világszinten is az egyik legmagasabb számnak számít.
A szakértők szerint az iráni közlekedési rendszer krízise több tényező együtteséből fakad: ide tartozik a járműpark jelentős elavultsága, a közlekedési szabályok be nem tartása, valamint az életmentő szolgáltatások elégtelensége. Az ilyen esetek újra és újra rávilágítanak arra, hogy a közlekedésbiztonság területén sürgős és rendszerszintű változtatásokra lenne szükség.

A Reuters azt írja, az egészségügyi minisztérium beszámolója szerint 28 mentőautót küldtek a helyszínre. Úgy tudni, hogy egy egyetem diákjai voltak a buszon, így még tragikusabb, ami történt, de pontos részleteket egyelőre nem közöltek.
2021-ben 7101 ember vesztette életé Egyiptomban közúti balesetekben, ami 15,2%-os emelkedést jelent 2020-hoz képest, amiről még 2022-ben számoltak be, azóta nem jelent meg ilyen statisztika.

A 44 utast szállító buszon diákok és tanáraik utaztak a központi Uthaithani tartományból Bangkokba iskolai kirándulásra. Egy mentőtiszt beszámolója szerint a jármű defektet kapott, nekicsapódott egy korlátnak, majd kigyulladt – mondta Szurija Dzsungrungruengkit közlekedési miniszter a helyszínen újságíróknak Pathumthani tartományban, a főváros északi elővárosában.
Anutin Csarnvirakul belügyminiszter közölte: a hatóságok még nem tudják megerősíteni a halálos áldozatok számát, mert nem fejezték be a helyszíni vizsgálatot, de a túlélők száma alapján 25 ember halálát feltételezik.
A közösségi médiában közzétett videókon látható, amint az egész busz lángba borul, és a járműből hatalmas fekete füst árad. A diákok életkora és egyéb adatai egyelőre nem ismertek.

Az AFP jelentése szerint tragikus buszbaleset történt a dél-afrikai Paulpietersburgban: a busz, mely az Afrikai Nemzeti Kongresszus (ANC) támogatóit szállította, akik az ANC Mayihlome gyűléséről tartottak visszafelé a durbani Moses Mabhida Stadionból, amikor a jármű délután 5 óra környékén balesetet szenvedett.
A helyszínre kiérkező hatóságok 9 ember halálát erősítették meg, s számos másik utas megsérült. Úgy tudni, 4 ember állapota válságos, akiket a helyi kórházba szállítottak. A baleset okának kivizsgálása folyamatban van, a hatóságok szakértőket küldtek ki a helyszíneléshez.
Sipho Hlomuka, a közlekedésért, a közösségi biztonságért és a kapcsolattartásért felelős miniszter részvétét fejezte ki az áldozatok hozzátartozóinak. A miniszter a tragédia kapcsán arra sürgetett, hogy mindenki vezessen óvatosan, különösen a tömegközlekedési járművek vezetői, hangsúlyozva a közúti biztonság kiemelkedő fontosságát minden közlekedő számára.

Ukrán állampolgárokat szállító kisbuszt ért baleset Lengyelországba vasárnap hajnalban. Hét ember megsérült, és három utas meghalt, köztük egy hatéves kisgyerek. A hatóságok jelenleg is vizsgálják a baleset körülményeit.
Áthajtott a szembejövő sávba, majd fának csapódott egy ukrán állampolgárokat szállító kisbusz a lengyelországi Wereszyn településnél vasárnap hajnali 5 óra körül – írta a Ukrajinszka Pravda.
A baleset következtében meghalt két nő és egy hatéves gyerek.
Jakub Kurczuk lublini regionális képviselő szerint tíz ember utazott a buszon, mindannyian ukrán állampolgárok. Két ember a helyszínen azonnal meghalt, egy embert pedig megpróbáltak újraéleszteni, de az ő életét sem lehetett megmenteni. A buszban utazó további hét embert kórházba szállították – közölte.
A balesetet az ukrán külügyminisztérium is megerősítette. Oleg Nikolenko, az ukrán külügyminisztérium szóvivője az RBC Ukraina kérdésére elmondta, a busz utasai különböző súlyosságú sérüléseket szereztek.
Az ukrán konzul a baleset helyszínére ment, hogy segítséget nyújtson az ukránoknak. Ukrajna lublini főkonzulátusa a baleset körülményeinek tisztázása érdekében kapcsolatba lép a lengyel rendfenntartókkal, és figyelemmel kíséri a sérült állampolgárok kezelését – közölte Nikolenko. Az előzetes információk szerint a balesetet az okozta, hogy a sofőr elaludt.

A Sky News jelentése szerint legkevesebb 39 ember életét vesztette, 17 másik pedig megsérült, miután egy busz letért a hegyi útról az Indiában található Himalájában.
A helyi hatóságok közlése szerint a 42 férőhelyes busz Kishtwar városából a déli Dzsammu városába tartott, amikor letért az útról és lezuhant egy 200 méteres lejtőn a hegyvidéki régióban. Úgy tudni, a sérültek közül néhányan kritikus állapotban vannak.
Noha a tragikus baleset pontos okát még mindig vizsgálják, Sunil Gupta rendőrtiszt a sajtónak nyilatkozva megosztotta, úgy vélik, a buszon túl sokan utaztak, a sofőr pedig túl gyorsan hajtott, hozzátéve, hogy vizsgálatot indítottak a 39 ember halálát okozó baleset kapcsán.
Egy másik rendőrtiszt úgy vélte, a sofőr „nem tudott eligazodni” az út egy éles kanyarjában. Narendra Modi indiai miniszterelnök is reagált a tragédiára, s egy, a korábban Twitterként ismert X-en közzétett bejegyzésében fejezte ki részvétét, valamint „megrendítőnek” nevezte az esetet.
Modi bejegyzésében azt is bejelentette, hogy a kormány minden áldozat családjának 200 ezer indiai rúpia (834 ezer forint), a sérülteknek pedig 50 ezer indiai rúpia (208 ezer forint) pénzügyi támogatást nyújt.

A helyi tűzoltók közlése szerint legalább hét ember meghalt, 27-en pedig kórházba kerültek, miután a sofőr elvesztette uralmát a futballszurkolókat szállító busz felett egy hegyi úton, Brazília délkeleti részén.
Kifejtették, hogy az incidens vasárnap, a Minas Gerais állambeli Belo Horizonte városának közelében történt. Illetve a jármű utasai közül többen is azt állították, miszerint a baleset bekövetkezte előtt a volán mögött ülő férfi fel is kiáltott, hogy „nincs fék”.
A Channel News Asia beszámolója alapján a buszon a Sao Pauló-i Corinthians labdarúgóklub több mint 40 szurkolója tartózkodott, akik egy előző esti, Belo Horizontéban megrendezett mérkőzés után indultak haza.
Fernando Frois tűzoltó hadnagy megerősítette, hogy az incidens következtében heten vesztették életüket, hozzátéve, hogy a sebesülteket azóta kórházba szállították, ám jelenlegi állapotukról nem nyilatkozott.
Az viszont kiderült, hogy a busz nem volt bejegyezve, a sofőrnek pedig engedélye sem volt személyszállításra. Továbbá a brazil labdarúgócsapatok, valamint a brazil labdarúgó-szövetség részvétét fejezte ki az áldozatok családjainak és barátainak.

Legkevesebb huszonegyen életüket vesztették, amikor egy hídról egy kiszáradt folyómederbe zuhant egy busz az indiai Madhja Prades államban kedden – közölték a helyi hatóságok.
A jármű hat métert zuhant. A balesetet az okozta, hogy a sofőr elaludt a volán mögött.
A Times of India című helyi napilap szerint az Indore városába tartó busz először a híd korlátjának ütközött, majd a mélybe zuhant. Az áldozatok között három gyermek és tíz nő van. A sofőr túlélte a balesetet, de elmenekült a helyszínről.
A Világbank 2021-es jelentése szerint Indiában évente mintegy 150 ezren halnak meg autóbalesetben. A beszámoló rámutatott: az ázsiai ország a világ összes járművének mindössze egy százalékát adja, ugyanakkor itt történik az összes közlekedési haláleset tizenegy százaléka.
