Súlyos közlekedési baleset rázta meg Irán déli részét, amikor egy autóbusz felborult a Fars tartományban fekvő Shiraz város közelében.
A tragikus esemény következtében legalább 15 ember életét vesztette, míg további 27 fő megsérült – jelentette az IRNA, az ország hivatalos állami hírügynöksége. A helyszíni mentést Masoud Abed, Fars tartomány sürgősségi egészségügyi szolgálatának vezetője irányította, aki megerősítette:
„A jelenlegi információk szerint tizenöt halálos áldozatról és huszonhét sérültről tudunk. A mentéshez tizenegy mentőautót és két mentőbuszt küldtünk ki.” – nyilatkozta az állami médiának. A baleset Shiraz városától délre történt, az érintett busz pontos útvonaláról és a baleset okáról egyelőre nem közöltek részleteket. A mentőegységek gyors beavatkozása ellenére sok utas már nem élte túl a borulással járó ütközést.
Az ABC News is megerősítette az állami média beszámolóit, külön kiemelve, hogy az iráni közúti biztonság továbbra is súlyos problémákkal küzd. Évente mintegy 17 000 ember veszti életét közúti balesetekben az országban, ami világszinten is az egyik legmagasabb számnak számít.
A szakértők szerint az iráni közlekedési rendszer krízise több tényező együtteséből fakad: ide tartozik a járműpark jelentős elavultsága, a közlekedési szabályok be nem tartása, valamint az életmentő szolgáltatások elégtelensége. Az ilyen esetek újra és újra rávilágítanak arra, hogy a közlekedésbiztonság területén sürgős és rendszerszintű változtatásokra lenne szükség.

Árokba hajtott egy turistákat szállító autóbusz vasárnap Bulgáriában, a balesetben egy ember életét vesztette, tizenkilencen megsérültek – közölte a helyi ügyészség.
A járművön, amely Görögországból tartott vissza Bulgáriába, negyvenen utaztak, mindannyian bolgár állampolgárok. A déli Szvilengrád városának térségében történt baleset helyszínére nagy erőkkel vonult ki a rendőrség, a tűzoltóság és a mentők.
Az MTI azt írta, a baleset az esti órákban történt egy kanyarban, feltehetőleg az eső miatt csúszós úton.
