Lukasenka kegyelmet adott a Fehéroroszországban halálra ítélt német állampolgárnak.
Aljakszandr Lukasenka úgy döntött, hogy kegyelmet ad a Minszk melletti vasútállomáson történt robbanás miatt halálra ítélt Rico Kriegernek, aki német állampolgár – jelenti a Lukasenka sajtószolgálatához kapcsolódó „Pool One” távirati csatorna. A Rico Kriegerre kiszabott ítélet június 19-én vált ismertté.
A minszki bíróság több bűncselekmény elkövetése miatt ítélte halálra a férfit.
Kriegert több dologgal is megvádolták: zsoldos és –, ügynöki tevékenység, terrorcselekmény végrehajtása, „szélsőséges csoport” létrehozása, lőfegyverrel – és robbanóanyaggal való visszaélés, valamint autók és kommunikációs eszközök működésképtelenné tétele.
Az ítélet után néhány nappal a fehérorosz állami televízió riportot közölt Kriegerről, amelyben a rácsok mögött ülve elmondta, hogy egy évvel ezelőtt elhatározta, hogy Ukrajnába megy, hogy egy külföldi zsoldoslégióban kapjon állást rendfenntartóként – írja a Meduza.

Fehéroroszországban halálra ítéltek egy német állampolgárt, akit terrorcselekmény elkövetésében találtak bűnösnek – adta hírül pénteken a Vjaszna Emberi Jogi Központ nevű fehérorosz civilszervezet.
A közlemény szerint Rico Krieger 30 éves katonaorvos ügye kapcsolatba hozható az ukrán nemzeti gárdához tartozó, fehérorosz katonákból és Ukrajnába emigrált fehérorosz állampolgárokból verbuvált, Kasztusz Kalinouszki XIX. századi forradalmár nevét viselő zászlóaljjal, amely az ukrajnai háborúban harcol.
A Vjaszna rendelkezésére álló információk szerint a tavaly november óta letartóztatásban lévő férfi halálos ítéletét június 24-én mondta ki a minszki bíróság, miután az ügyészek terrorizmus, zsoldostevékenység, valamint szélsőséges szervezet létrehozása és Fehéroroszországban elkövetett robbantások szervezése miatt szorgalmazták az elítélését.
„A külügyminisztérium és a minszki nagykövetség konzuli segítséget nyújtanak az érintettnek, illetve intenzíven fellépnek érdekében a fehérorosz hatóságoknál” – áll a berlini külügyi tárca pénteken közzétett állásfoglalásában.
A halálbüntetés „kegyetlen és embertelen formája a büntetésnek, amelyet Németország minden körülmények között elutasít” – emelte ki a német diplomáciai tárca hozzátéve, hogy világszerte küzdenek ennek a büntetési formának az eltörléséért.
Fehéroroszországban nem ez az első eset, hogy a hatóságok Ukrajna érdekében végrehajtott szabotázs vádjával börtönöztek be, vagy ítéltek el embereket. Az Aljakszandr Lukasenka által irányított ország az utolsó Európában, ahol még kiszabható halálbüntetés. A kivégzéseket titkos időpontban lőfegyverrel hajtják végre, az elítéltek holttestét pedig nem szolgáltatják vissza családjuknak, hanem ismeretlen helyen temetik el.

Az ítéletre azóta reagált az indiai kormány is: csütörtöki nyilatkozatában az indiai külügyminisztérium úgy fogalmazott, „mélységesen megdöbbentette” az ítélet, s fel fogja venni a kapcsolatot a katari hatóságokkal.
A közleményben megjegyezték: „Kapcsolatban állunk a családtagokkal és a jogi csapattal, és minden jogi lehetőséget megvizsgálunk.”
A CNN megkereste az ügyben a katari kormányt is, ám hivatalos választ nem kívántak adni. Úgy tudni, az indiai állampolgárok az indiai haditengerészet volt katonái voltak, akik Katarba utaztak, hogy kiképezzék a katari haditengerészet személyzetét, majd hirtelen kémkedéssel vádolták meg őket.
Az indiai minisztérium nem kívánt megosztani további részleteket sem a konkrét vádakról, sem pedig az ítéletről, ahogyan az érintett állampolgárokat sem nevezte meg, csupán annyi derült ki, hogy a katari székhelyű Al Dahra vállalat alkalmazottai voltak.

A jelentések szerint az iráni legfelsőbb bíróság elfogadta Saman Seyyedi Yasin kurd rapper fellebbezését a halálos ítélete ellen, azonban egy másik férfi, Mohammad Ghobadlou kérelmét elutasították, ami azt jelenti, hogy hamarosan kivégezhetik.
Az iráni igazságszolgáltatás szombaton azt is megerősítette, miszerint az ügy kivizsgálásának hiányosságai és hibái miatt hozták meg ezt a döntést, egyéb részletet azonban nem közöltek erre vonatkozóan – írta az Al Jazeera.
A rappert korábban azért ítélték el, mert azzal vádolták, hogy megpróbálta megölni a biztonsági erők több tagját, illetve egy kézifegyverrel a levegőbe lőtt, amikor részt vett a hatóságok által „zavargásoknak” titulált kormányellenes tüntetéseken.
Ghobadlou-t pedig azért ítélték halálra, mert állítólag az autójával elgázolta és megölte a biztonsági erők egy tagját, valamint sokakat megsebesített, arról viszont nem érkezett beszámoló, hogy a 22 éves férfi fellebbezését miért utasították el.
Az Amnesty International arra figyelmeztetett, hogy az ellene hozott ítéletet egy „tisztességtelen” tárgyalás után hozták meg, emellett Iránban akár több mint két tucat ember kivégzését is tervezhetik, így mielőbbi intézkedésekre van szükség.

A „Donyecki Népköztársaság” (DNR) Legfelsőbb Bírósága csütörtökön golyó általi halálra ítélt az ukrán fegyveres erők kötelékében harcolt két brit és egy marokkói „zsoldost”, akiket a taláros testület a DNR alkotmányos rendjének megdöntésére irányuló bűncselekmények elkövetésében talált bűnösnek – adta hírül az Ukrajinszka Pravda hírportál.
A jelentés szerint az úgynevezett DNR Legfelsőbb Bírósága kimondta az első ítéletet az Ukrajna oldalán harcoló külföldiekre, akiket „zsoldosoknak” neveznek. A taláros testület a brit Aiden Aslint és Shean Pinnert, valamint a marokkói Ibrahim Sadunt találta bűnösnek és ítélte halálra, mindhármukat Mariupolban fogták el az agresszorok a város ostroma idején.
A megszállók egy hónapot adtak Ukrajna külföldi védőinek, hogy fellebbezzenek a bíróság határozata ellen. A harcosokat a „hatalom megszerzésére és a DNR alkotmányos rendjének megdöntésére irányuló cselekmények elkövetésében” találták bűnösnek.

Két év óta először hajtottak végre halálos ítéletet Japánban, három embert akasztottak fel – közölte kedden a tokiói igazságügyi minisztérium. Egyikük, egy 65 éves férfi, hét rokonát gyilkolta meg 2004-ben, a másik két elítélt, 54, illetve egy 44 éves férfiak, két-két alkalmazottjukat ölték meg egy játékteremben 2003-ban, két különálló bűnügyben.
Japánban jelenleg 107 halálra ítélt vár a kivégzésére a siralomházban.
Kihara Szeidzsi, a kormány kabinettitkár-helyettese újságíróknak nyilatkozva kijelentette: „Nem volna helyes eltörölni a halálbüntetést a jelen helyzetben, amikor a kegyetlen bűncselekmények száma nő az országban. Sok japán véleménye szerint a halálbüntetés elkerülhetetlen a legaljasabb bűncselekmények esetében”

Egy jordániai bíróság szerdán halálra ítélt hat embert egy 16 éves fiú megkínzása miatt – adta hírül az Origo.
A fiút tavaly októberben rabolták el a fővárostól, Ammántól keletre található Zarkából, majd egy kietlen területre vitték, ahol az összegyűlt emberek megkínozták, levágták mindkét kezét és kivájták egyik szemét.
Az esetről videofelvételek keringtek, amelyeken a vérben fekvő fiú látható az utcán.
Beszámolók szerint a támadás bosszú volt a fiú apja ellen, akit akkoriban börtönöztek be emberölés vádjával.
Tizenhét embert állítottak bíróság elé, kilenc pontban, köztük gyilkossági kísérlet, terrorizmus, emberrablás, maradandó fogyatékosság okozása és illegális fegyvertartás miatt emeltek ellenük vádat.
A Petra jordániai hírügynökség szerint a hat, kötél által halálra ítélt ember közül egyet távollétében ítéltek el. Hét vádlottat felmentettek, a maradék négy embert egytől 15 évig terjedő börtönbüntetésre ítéltek.

Egy negyedik vádlottat – egy tanárt – tíz év börtönbüntetésre ítéltek az „istenkáromló tartalmú” megnyilvánulásért – közölte Isztifamul Hak bírósági illetékes a dpa német hírügynökséggel. Az ítélet nem jogerős.
A Pakisztánban a nyolcvanas években uralkodó Ziául Hak katonai vezető által bevezetett, istenkáromlásra vonatkozó törvények akár halálbüntetést is kilátásba helyeznek Mohamed próféta megsértéséért. Jogvédők szerint azonban a jogszabályokat az egyéb vallások, például a síita vagy az ahmadija vallási kisebbség tagjai ellen használják fel a szunnita muszlim többségű országban.
Tavaly júliusban az amerikai külügyminisztérium a vonatkozó pakisztáni jogszabályok felülvizsgálatát sürgette azután, hogy egy istenkáromlással vádolt pakisztáni-amerikai állampolgárt megöltek bírósági tárgyalása közben.
Pakisztánban körülbelül 75 embert öltek meg a nyolcvanas évek óta feldühödött személyek és tömegek istenkáromlásért még azelőtt, hogy bírósági tárgyalásuk egyáltalán megkezdődött volna.
