A Nemzetközi Atomenergia-ügynökség (NAÜ) megerősítette, hogy Izrael csapást mért az iráni nukleáris dúsító létesítményre Natanzban.
Közleményében az ügynökség hozzátette, hogy szoros figyelemmel követi a helyzetet, és kapcsolatban áll az iráni illetékesekkel az esetleges károk ügyében is – számol be róla az MTI.
A NAÜ egyúttal mély aggodalmát fejezte ki az erőművel kapcsolatos fejlemények miatt.
A Teherántól mintegy 220 kilométerre délkeletre fekvő Natanzban található iráni nukleáris létesítmény az ország fő dúsító létesítménye.
Az Irán központi fennsíkján található létesítmény egy része a föld alatt van, hogy védekezzenek az esetleges légicsapások ellen.
A NAÜ korábbi közlései szerint több kaszkádot működtet, vagyis együtt dolgozó centrifugák csoportjait, amelyek gyorsabb urándúsítást tesznek lehetővé.
