Január 1-jén 11:13-kor érkezett bejelentés a mentőszolgálathoz, hogy tűz keletkezett egy nyári konyhában Izán, a Béke utcában, a Huszti járásban. A szomszéd, aki kiment az udvarra, hogy megetesse a kutyát, vastag fekete füstöt észlelt az ingatlanhoz tartozó épület ablakából. Azonnal értesítette a tűzoltókat.
A huszti tűztoltóság egységei a helyszínre érkezve megvédték a szomszédos lakóházakat, miközben megkezdték a tűz oltását is.
A tüzet sikerült lokalizálni, majd teljesen eloltani, az érintett terület 80 négyzetméter volt. A lángok elpusztították a nyári konyha tetőszerkezetét és a belső vagyontárgyakat, de a tűz nem terjedt át a lakóházra és a két szomszédos épületre.

November 23-án 11:44-kor bejelentés érkezett a Mentőszolgálathoz, miszerint kigyulladt egy személyautó a Huszti járásban található Izán.
A helyszínre a huszti 14-es számú állami tűzoltó-mentő egység vonult ki. A vizsgálat során kiderült, hogy egy 41 éves helyi lakos menet közben vette észre, hogy kigyulladt járműve. A férfi azonnal riasztotta a tűzoltókat, és érkezésükig poroltóval próbálta megfékezni a lángokat.
A tűzoltók 11:58-ra lokalizálták a tüzet, majd 12:01-re teljesen eloltották egy 1 négyzetméteres területen. A tűz csupán a motorteret érintette, a lángok nem terjedtek tovább a jármű egészére.
A tűz keletkezésének okát és az okozott kárt jelenleg is vizsgálják a hatóságok.

Súlyos tűzeset történt november 1-jén reggel a Huszti járásban lévő Iza községben, ahol egy 30 éves nő vesztette életét, miután lángra kapott egy lakóház.
A Rendkívüli Helyzetek Állami Szolgálatának (DSZNSZ) közlése szerint a tüzet a szomszédok észlelték, akik azonnal riasztották a tűzoltókat. A helyszínre érkező egységek az egyik szobában találták meg az 1995-ben született nő holttestét.
A lángok mintegy 25 négyzetméteren pusztítottak, és reggel 8 órára sikerült teljesen eloltani őket.
A hatóságok felhívják a figyelmet arra, hogy a fűtési szezon kezdetén különösen fontos az elektromos hálózatok túlterhelésének elkerülése, valamint a fűtőberendezések és kályhák felügyelet nélküli működtetésének mellőzése.
A tűzoltóság ismételten arra kéri a lakosságot, hogy körültekintően használják a fűtőeszközöket, mert a gondatlanság könnyen tragédiát okozhat.

Az eset Izán történt, a rokonok holtan találtak rá egy férfira házában. Az információk szerint a 66 éves áldozat és 42 éves fia között vita alakult ki, melynek során a fiú kést rántott és halálos sérülést okozott apjának.
