A délnyugat-japáni Miyazaki repülőtér kifutópályáját lezárták szerdán, miután robbanás történt az egyik gurulóúton. A hatóságok szerint nem történt sérülés.
A helyi tűzoltók elmondták, hogy helyi idő szerint 8 óra 10 perc körül kaptak egy bejelentést, miszerint robbanás hangjai hallatszottak a repülőtéren. Mivel a területen gyakran fedeznek fel második világháborús amerikai bombákat, így a Japán Szárazföldi Önvédelmi Erők egy robbanóanyag-mentesítési egységet küldtek vizsgálatra.
A közlekedési minisztérium közölte, hogy tisztviselői egy 7 méter átmérőjű és 1 méter mély lyukat találtak az egyik gurulóúton.
A Nikkei Asia szerint a kifutópályát lezárták, amelynek következtében reggel helyi idő szerint 9 óra körül felfüggesztették a repülőtérre érkező és onnan induló összes járatot. A légi forgalom felfüggesztése a repülőtéri hatóságok szerint várhatóan szerda estig lesz érvényben – írja a Kyodo News.
A rendőrség utasította a repülőtér személyzetét a terület kiürítésére – számolt be a Yomiuri.
