Kiadós jégesővel és felhőszakadással kísért zivatarok csaptak le pénteken Dél-Afrikában, Johannesburg környékén. A hirtelen lehulló nagy mennyiségű csapadék és jég kombinációja az utcákon hömpölygő jeges árvizet hozott létre. A jégár az épületekbe is behatolt, még egy kórházat is elöntött Aberton városában. A vihar után nagy mennyiségű, helyenként akár 20-30 centis vastagságú jégréteg borította be az utakat.
