A jelentés szerint öt nappal az üdülőhelyek szállodáiból kormányzati táborhelyekre költöztetésük előtt egyre nő a feszültség az ukrán menekültek és a bolgár hatóságok között. Az utcára vonult ukránok a többi között azt kifogásolják, hogy közülük eddig senki nem látta azoknak az állami bázisoknak a listáját, amelyekre a bolgár hatóságok több ezer ukrán menekültet telepítenek át november 15-ig. A tiltakozók nem tudják, lesznek-e ott iskolák és orvosi ellátás.
„A fő probléma az, hogy Bulgáriában nincs egységes stratégia az ukrán menekültekkel kapcsolatban. A döntéseket civil szervezetek részvétele nélkül hozzák meg, a menekültek képviselői nélkül, de az embereknek joguk van tudni, hol helyezik el őket” – mondta el Dragomir Osavkov ügyvéd, az Access to Rights Fund civil jogvédő szervezet munkatársa.
A Fekete-tenger parti üdülővárosok szállodáiban elhelyezett ukrán menekültek 20 levelet küldtek a bolgár kormánynak, amelyben azt kérték, hogy hadd maradjanak azokban a szállodákban, ahol vannak, amíg nem készül el a valódi integrációs terv. Az ukránok arra is figyelmeztetik a bolgár hatóságokat, hogy panaszt fognak tenni rájuk az uniós hatóságoknál a tarthatatlan helyzet miatt. Az ukrán menekültek ezreit, akiknek a 90%-a kisgyermekes anya és nyugdíjas, kezdettől fogva nem a tengert vagy a hegyeket keresték, hanem csak átmeneti menedéket és békét akartak, de nem úgy mennek a dolgok, ahogyan kellene – mondta el a televíziónak egy helyi önkéntes aktivista.
