Kalózok támadtak meg és kerítettek hatalmukba egy kereskedelmi hajót Szomália partjainál – közölte csütörtökön a brit tengeri kereskedelmi hivatal (UKMTO) és az Ambrey nevű, hajózási biztonsággal foglalkozó brit magáncég.
A tájékoztatás szerint mintegy hat fegyveres szállt fel a Libériában regisztrált teherhajó fedélzetére 850 kilométerre keletre a szomáliai Ejl városától.
A legénység a hajó gyomrában sáncolta el magát.
A teherhajó a bahreini Halífa bin Szalmán kikötőjébe tartott. A támadásról nem tudni további részleteket.
Szomália partvidéke néhány éve még a kalózok fellegvárának számított. A 2008-ban indult uniós, Atalanta fedőnevű, kalózok elleni műveletnek köszönhetően azonban jelentősen sikerült visszaszorítani a tengeri rablók tevékenységét. Legutóbb azonban december 14-én jelentettek kalóztámadást a térségből, aminek során elfoglaltak egy hajót és Szomália felé térítették el.

Dmitrij Csugujevszkij az amerikai AP hírügynökségnek nyilatkozva elmondta, hogy a panamai zászló alatt hajózó, 30 Minutes nevű, 19 méter hosszú jacht április 19-én tűnt el a jemeni határ közelében a szaúdi Faraszán sziget térségében, ahol az iráni támogatást élvező jemeni húszi lázadók korábban már több hasonló támadást végrehajtottak.
Csugujevszkij szerint a Dzsibutiba induló jachton nem volt automatizált helyzetjelző berendezés, amely egyébként szabvány a veszélyes vagy forgalmas vízi útvonalakon közlekedő hajóknál.
A rijádi orosz nagykövetség vasárnap közölte, hogy elvesztették a rádiókapcsolatot a hajóval.
Csugujevszkij azt állította, hogy a jacht egyiptomi kapitányának sikerült vészjelzést leadnia, mely szerint felfegyverzett kalózok támadtak rájuk, s a szaúdi hatóságoknak tudomásuk van erről. „Azt feltételezzük, hogy elhurcolták őket” – tette hozzá.
Az Európai Unió Atalanta elnevezésű kalózellenes tengeri művelete, a Bahreinben állomásozó amerikai ötödik flotta, valamint a brit hadsereg közel-keleti tengeri szállítmányozást felügyelő részlege is vizsgálatot indított az ügyben.

Kalózok támadták meg a dán tulajdonban lévő Monjasa tengerhajózási vállalat egyik olaj- és vegyianyag-szállító tartályhajóját, amellyel minden kommunikáció megszűnt – közölte a vállalat szóvivője kedden.
A hajó 16 fős legénysége időben fedezékbe tudott vonulni a hajón, azonban a szombati támadás óta nem sikerült kapcsolatot létesíteni velük.
A tankerhajó libériai zászló alatt tétlenül állt a nyílt tengeren, amikor a kalózok a Guineai-öböl térségében, a kongói Pointe-Noire kikötővárostól 260 kilométerre rájuk támadtak.
A hajót a dániai Monjasa leányvállalata, a dubaji központtal működő Montec Ship Management nevű cég üzemelteti, amely elsőként értesítette a Guineai-öböl biztonságáért felelős brit-francia tengeri együttműködési központot. Dániának világszerte jelentős érdekeltsége van a tengerhajózásban: a biztonságos hajózás előmozdítására 2021-ben egy fregattot is kirendelt a Guineai-öbölbe, amelyet az ukrajnai háború 2022. februári kirobbanása után hazahívott.
A Guineai-öböl az elmúlt években a tengeri kalózkodás egyik központjává vált, az ENSZ Biztonsági Tanácsának közlése szerint azonban 2021 óta kevesebb kalóztámadást regisztráltak.

A német Gerd Ritscher hajótársaság Tommi Ritscher nevű hajója portugál zászló alatt hajózik, jelenleg Benin területi vizein tartózkodik, és a helyi parti őrség feltartóztatta.
