Kazahsztánban már több mint 96 ezer embert, köztük csaknem 32 ezer gyereket kellett kimenekíteni a nagy kiterjedésű áradások által sújtott területekről – közölte Szajpas Eraszil, a kazah polgári és katonai katasztrófavédelmi bizottság vezető tisztségviselője szerdán.
„Az árvízi időszak kezdete óta 96 472 embert mentettek ki, köztük 31 640 gyermeket. Az ideiglenes szállásokon 7605 embert, köztük 3474 gyermeket helyeztek el” – mondta.
Tájékoztatása szerint több mint 167 tonna humanitárius segélyt szállítottak az érintett régiókba. Több mint 8,5 millió köbméter olvadékvizet szivattyúztak ki, 2750 lakóházból és 1816 udvari területről vezették el a vizet.
A márciusban kezdődött áradások miatt Kazahsztán 10 régiójában továbbra is érvényben van a helyi szükségállapoti rendszer. A mentési munkálatokban több mint 24 ezer ember segédkezik, és több mint 2600 műszaki eszközt vetettek be.
