Csütörtökön az orosz terroristák újabb hatalmas légitámadást hajtottak végre Ukrajna energetikai infrastruktúrája ellen, és a csapások következményei a korábbiaknál súlyosabbak, mivel az ellenség kazettás lőszerekkel használta Kalibr cirkálórakétákat – számolt be pénteken az rbc.ua hírportál a DTEK energetikai vállalat Telegram-csatornájára hivatkozva.
A jelentés szerint a cég emlékeztetett arra, hogy a támadás során az ellenség több mint 90 különféle típusú rakétát használt, amelyek között voltak kazettás lőszerekkel felszerelt Kalibr cirkálórakétákkal. „Sokkal nehezebb kiküszöbölni egy becsapódás következményeit, ha ilyen rakétákról van szó” – jegyezte meg a DTEK.
Az energetikai mérnökök jelenleg azon dolgoznak, hogy lehetőség szerint tartalék áramellátási rendszereket hozzanak létre azokon a leginkább sújtott területeken. A helyzet azonban továbbra is nehéz és kiszámíthatatlan. Ez a nap folyamán gyakori változásokat okozhat az áramszünetek ütemezésében. A lakosságnak követniük kell a hivatalos információkat.

Az orosz erők kazettásbomba-támadást intéztek a délkeleti Zaporizzsjai terület ellen, amelynek során egy nő meghalt, két ember pedig megsebesült – jelentette a Zaporizzsjai terület kormányzója, Jurij Malasko október 7-én, írja a The Kyiv Independent.
A kormányzó szerint szombat reggel 8 óra körül az oroszok kazettás bombákat tartalmazó rakétákat lőttek ki.

Malasko jelentése szerint a Zaporizzsjától mintegy 40 kilométerre délre fekvő Bilenke települést érte a támadás.
A kazettás bomba egy olyan fegyver, amely a levegőben szétrobbanva magából sok apró, akár több száz lőszert lök ki széles területen, hatalmas pusztítást okozva.
Az ENSZ 2008-ban betiltotta a kazettás lőszerek használatát, az erre vonatkozó egyezményhez a világ több mint 110 országa csatlakozott. Az aláírók között viszont nem szerepel az Egyesült Államok, Ukrajna, Oroszország és Kína sem.

Az ukrán hadsereg hamarosan készen áll az USA által az ukrán frontra küldött kazettás lőszerek használatára – jelentette be kedden Olekszandr Szirszkij tábornok, az ukrán szárazföldi erők parancsnoka a BBC brit televíziónak adott interjújában, számolt be az rbc.ua hírportál.
A jelentés szerint Szirszkij megerősítette, hogy az USA-ból már megérkeztek a kazettás lőszerek Ukrajnába. Megjegyezte, hogy a lövedékek „néhány napon belül használatra készek lesznek”.
Ugyanakkor a BBC nem pontosította, hogy mikor rögzítette az interjút Szirszkijjel. A brit tévécsatorna újságírói megjegyezték, hogy a Bahmut körüli ukrán állásokban amerikai M777 tarackokat láttak, amelyek a kazettás lövedékeket fogják kilőni.
