A bűnszervezetek váltságdíjért rabolnak el gyerekeket.
Az idén eddig négy baptista templomot ért támadás Kaduna államban. 2021 júliusában 120 gyereket hurcoltak el a Bethel baptista iskolából, a diákok többsége hónapokig volt fogságban.

A támadók az Ondo állambeli Owo városának Szent Ferenc katolikus templomát vették célba, amikor a hívők pünkösd vasárnapján összegyűltek – mondta Ogunmolasuyi Oluwole törvényhozó.
Az elöljáró papot is elrabolták – tette hozzá Adelegbe Timileyin, Owo körzet képviselője a nigériai törvényhozás alsóházában. Úgy tudja, hogy legalább 50 embert megöltek, bár mások szerint sokkal többet.
