Egy tinédzser meghalt a rossz időjárás következtében az odesszai régió Podilszkij járásában. Négy gyermek megsérült, jelentette be az Állami Katasztrófavédelmi Szolgálat sajtóosztálya.
„Ma délután a Podilszkiji járási Balta városban tinédzserek pihentek a folyó közelében. Rossz idő lett, erős szél támadt fel, aminek következtében egy fa rádőlt a sátorra, amelyben a tinédzserek tartózkodtak. A helyszínre érkező mentők négy gyermeket szabadítottak ki a fa alól, akiket átadtak az orvosoknak. Sajnos az ötödik gyermeket nem tudták megmenteni. A rendőrség képviselői jelenleg a körülmények tisztázásán dolgoznak” – áll a jelentésben.
Később az Állami Katasztrófavédelmi Szolgálat sajtóközpontja közzétette a tragédia következményeit bemutató fotókat.

Tragikus baleset rázta meg Southend-on-Sea lakóit, amikor egy fa kidőlt a Chalkwell Parkban, és öt gyermek sérült meg, közülük egy kislány életét vesztette.
Az Essex-i rendőrség jelentése szerint több gyerek rekedt a fa alatt, akik súlyos sérüléseket szenvedtek, és azonnal kórházba szállították őket.
A rendőrség megerősítette, hogy a 7 éves lány, aki súlyos sérülésekkel került kórházba, életét vesztette. Egy másik, 6 éves kislány állapota válságos, míg további három gyermek kisebb sérülésekkel szintén kórházi ellátást kapott. A BBC az írja, a hatóságok jelenleg is vizsgálják az eset körülményeit, pontosan mi vezetett a tragédiához.
„A családok ma este elképzelhetetlen nehézségekkel néznek szembe, és minden gondolatunk velük vannak ebben az időszakban. Szavakkal nem lehet kifejezni, milyen nehéz volt számukra a mai nap, és még most is az, ugyanakkor nem feledkezhetek meg azokról a járókelőkről sem, akik szemtanúi voltak ennek a borzalmas eseménynek.” – mondta Leighton Hammett főfelügyelő.
Sok a kérdőjel a baleset körül
„Néhány pillanat alatt sokan átváltottak a kellemes nyári idő élvezetéről arra, hogy gondolkodás nélkül segítségére siessenek idegeneknek. Ez a hozzáállás mutatja meg Southend legjobb arcát, és nagyon sajnálom, hogy az általam közölt információ nem lehet pozitívabb.”
A főfelügyelő kiemelte, a rendőrség, a mentő- és tűzoltóság munkatársai mindent megtettek a sérült gyerekek megsegítéséért, és „a mai veszteség mindannyiukat személyesen érinti.” Emellett azt is elmondta, hogy pszichológiai támogatást biztosítanak majd a baleset helyszínén dolgozó elsősegélynyújtóknak, akik szintén megviselték az események.
Az Essex-i rendőrség vizsgálata tovább folyik, hogy fényt derítsenek arra, milyen körülmények között dőlt ki a fa, és miként lehet elkerülni a hasonló tragédiákat a jövőben.

Június 3-án este nagy vihar sújtotta Kárpátalja több települését is, különösen az erős széllökések okoztak problémákat.
Körülbelül 18 órákor kezdtek érkezni a bejelentések a mentőszolgálathoz a vihar következményeiről. A szélvihar következtében 18 település maradt áram nélkül a Munkácsi, Huszti és Técsői járásokban. Június 4-én még mindig nem sikerült visszaállítani az áramellátást 8 huszti járási faluban, melyek közül négy csak részben maradt áram nélkül.
Legalább három esetben számoltak be kidőlt fákról és letört ágakról, amelyek utakat zártak el és elektromos vezetékeket rongáltak meg a Munkácsi és Huszti járásokban. A helyreállítási munkálatokba a huszti és munkácsi tűzoltókat is bevonták.
Jelenleg minden szolgálat dolgozik a vihar következményeinek elhárításán, az energetikai szakemberek pedig az áramszolgáltatás helyreállításán.

Május 4-én 15:47-kor értesítést kapott a mentőszolgálat arról, hogy egy fa rádőlt egy Hyundai Accent típusú autóra az ungvári Szabadság sugárúton. Az esetet az autó tulajdonosának fia jelentette.
A helyszínre gyorsan kiérkeztek a speciális mentőegység szakemberei, akik motorfűrész és más speciális eszközök segítségével feldaraboltak és eltávolítottak 1,5 köbméter faanyagot a járműről. Az autó azonban javításra szorul.
Ezt követően május 5-én Alsóveresmart közelében a helyiek arról értesítették a mentőket, hogy egy fa rádőlt az M23-as útra (Beregszász – Nagyszőlős – Nagykopány), teljesen elzárva a forgalmat.
A forgalmi torlódás azonban nem tartott sokáig, a Nagyszőlősi 18-as számú állami tűzoltó- és mentőegység rövid időn belül megoldotta a problémát. Rövid időn belül feldaraboltak körülbelül 3 köbméter fát, és helyreállították a közlekedést.

A Munkácsi és Ungvári járásban a tegnap esti vihar két fát is kidöntött. Az egyik eset Szürtében történt, a Rákóczi úton. A kidőlt fa korlátozta a forgalmat is.
A helyszínre kiérkezett a csapi tűzoltóság, akik 38 köbméter fát fűrészeltek szét, ezt követően újra beindult a forgalom az M06-os úton.
A második eset Felsővereckén történt a Szobranyij utcán, a fa egy házra esett rá, s megrongálta tetőszerkezet. A törmelékeket szintén a tűzoltóság takarította el.

Hollandiában heves esőzéssel járó vihar okoz súlyos közlekedési fennakadásokat, légi járatok százait törölték a rendkívül erős széllökések miatt – írta szerdán az MTI az NLTimes holland hírportál alapján. A beszámoló szerint a Poly névre keresztelt, szokatlanul erős nyári vihar szerda reggel csapott le Hollandiára. Az országi nyugati partszakaszán óránkénti 145 kilométeres széllökést is regisztráltak.
Az erős szél fákat döntött ki, kamionokat döntött fel és több helyen a vonatközlekedést is korlátozni kellett. Az NS holland vasúttársaság honlapján azt írta: „az országunkban jelenleg tomboló vihar a vártnál lényegesen erősebb”, ezért számos tartományban leállították a vasúti forgalmat.
Az amszterdami Schiphol nemzetközi repülőtér – Európa egyik legnagyobb légikikötője – idáig mintegy háromszáz járatát törölte. Honlapjukon az áll: a nap folyamán „nagyon korlátozott légi forgalomra lehet számítani”. A már bejelentetteken túl további járattörlések és jelentős késések is lehetségesek.
A nemzeti meteorológiai intézet három észak-hollandiai tartományra vörös riasztást adott ki az erős széllökésekkel és a heves esőzéssel járó vihar miatt. A hatóságok felszólították a lakosokat, hogy maradjanak fedél alatt. A közlekedési hatóságok azt tanácsolták, hogy lehetőség szerint mindenki kerülje az autós közlekedést, a délelőtti órákban több mint 277 kilométernyi dugó alakult ki.
A holland meteorológiai intézet szerint a vihar Dánia és Németország felé tart. Hollandiában október és április között szoktak előfordulni erősebb viharok, a mostani szinte példátlannak számít a nyári időszakban.
Észak-Holland tartományban, IJmuiden kikötőjében 11-es fokozatú – a Beaufort-skála szerinti második legerősebb – széllökéseket mértek, vagyis a valaha feljegyzett leghevesebb nyári vihar tombol az országban – közölte a Weerplaza holland időjárási portál. Hollandiában nyáron még soha nem mértek az IJmuidenben most észlelt 145 kilométer/órás széllökésnél erősebbet.
