A kazahsztáni Almatiban történt hihetetlen mentést megörökítő videón jól látható, ahogy az asszony kilógatja a kisgyermeket az ablakon, miközben fekete füst gomolyog a lakásból. Mindeközben az ablak alatt kisebb tömeg gyűlt össze, hogy segítsenek a bajba jutott családon. Többen egy matracot tartottak az ablak alatt, hogy annak segítségével felfogják a gyermek zuhanását, aki végül épségben földet ért.
A Mirror cikke szerint a gyermek a matracra esett, majd a felnőtt is utána ugrott, akit szintén sikerült elkapni a matraccal.
A helyi egészségügyi minisztérium közlése szerint hétfőn 31 embert szállítottak kórházba az égő épületből, köztük 16 gyermeket. Halálesetről nem érkezett jelentés.
A tűzoltóság közleménye szerint az ötödik és hatodik emelet szintjén lévő liftaknában elektromos kábelek kaptak lángra, ez okozta a tüzet. A tűzoltók kiérkezésük után másfél órával eloltották a tüzet, és mintegy 250 embert menekítettek ki az épületből.

Tegnap délután kigyulladt egy kelet-londoni toronyház legfelső emeleti lakása, a helyszínre körülbelül száz tűtoltó vonult ki, hogy megfékezzék a lángokat.
A tűz egy nappal azután keletkezett, hogy az eddigi legmagasabb hőmérsékletet mérték az Egyesült Királyságban, a tűzoltók pedig a második világháború óta a legtöbb riasztást kapták egy nap alatt.
Kigyulladt egy kelet-londoni toronyház egyik lakása a 17.emeleten, a helyszínre több, mint 100 tűzoltót kellett kivezényelni – írja a Sky News.
Az égő lakás alatti emeleteken lakókat a tűzoltóknak evakuálni kellett, mindenkit biztonságba helyezték. a tüzet helyi idő szerint délután 15 óra körül sikerült megfékezni.
Rokhsana fiaz, newham polgármestere szerint csodával határos módon senki sem halt meg a tűzesetben.
A tűz egy nappal azután keletkezett, hogy az Egyesült Királyságban az eddigi legmelegebb hőmérsékletet mérték, a tűzoltók pedig a II. világháború óta a legtöbb riasztást kapták egy nap alatt.
