Egy Krivij Rihben élő 15 éves lány létrehozott egy körülbelül 500 taggal rendelkező Telegram-csoportot, melyen öngyilkosságra buzdította a többieket.
Az információk szerint a csatorna február 21-től működött, amikor az adminisztrátor elkezdett önkínzással kapcsolatos feladatokat osztogatni a tagokat, a csatornán 13 feliratkozó maradt. Minden nap elküldték a bizonyítékul szolgáló felvételeket a feladat elvégzéséről, s ekkor megkapták a további utasításokat.
A rendőrök házkutatást tartottak az adminisztrátornál, melynek során lefoglalták számítógépét, telefonját és táblagépét. A hatóságok elmondták, hogy a lány március 4-én akart végezni magával.
