Az Unian szerint megerősítették négy orosz felderítő és harci Orion drón megsemmisítését.
A Krím félszigeten található Kirovszke katonai repülőtéren az ukrán fegyveres erők drónrendszerei és az ukrán védelmi minisztérium főfelügyelősége megsemmisített négy Orion típusú drónt és egy AN–72P teherszállító repülőgépet, valamint egy Mecs radart – számolt be Robert Brovdi, az Ukrán Fegyveres Erők Pilóta Nélküli Repülőgépes Erőinek parancsnoka.
Elmondása szerint április 1-jén éjjel az első önálló drónközpont és az ukrán védelmi minisztérium főfelügyelőségének 9. osztálya „udvariassági látogatást” tett az orosz létesítményekben – az Orion nevű legújabb és nagy értékű támadó-felderítő drónok bázisán.
A parancsnok megjegyezte, hogy az Orion drónok 24 órán át képesek a levegőben maradni és közben felderítést végezni 250–300 kilométeres hatósugárban. Közben akár 250 kilogramm fegyverzetet (rakétákat vagy bombákat) is tudnak szállítani 7,5 kilométer magasságig.
„Ezt a bázist teljesen megsemmisítették a Kirovszke repülőtéren, Krasznoszilszke település közelében, a Krím félszigeten” – erősítette meg Brovdi.
