Olaszországi sajtójelentések szerint emiatt az Egyesült Államok szankciókat fontolgat ellene. A hírek szerint George Clooney brit állampolgárságú felesége nemcsak az Egyesült Államokba irányuló beutazási tilalomra számíthat, hanem a vagyonát is befagyaszthatják.
A Financial Times korábban arról számolt be, hogy a brit külügyminisztérium több, a büntetőbíróságnak dolgozó jogászt is figyelmeztetett arra, hogy büntetőintézkedésekkel nézhetnek szembe.
Az érintettek között szerepel Amal Clooney mellett Adrian Fulford egykori bíró, valamint Danny Friedman is a brit ügyvédi kamarából. Donald Trump február 6-án írta alá azt a rendeletet, amely lehetőséget ad a Nemzetközi Büntetőbírósággal (ICC) együttműködő külföldi állampolgárok szankcionálására. A dokumentumban Karim Khan, az ICC főügyészének neve is szerepel, és 60 napos határidőt szabtak a további szankciós javaslatok kidolgozására.
Bár a határidő április 7-én lejárt, újabb szankciókat hivatalosan még nem jelentettek be. Ennek ellenére a Financial Times szerint a brit kormány megalapozottnak tartja azokat az információkat, amelyek szerint Amal Clooney is a lehetséges célpontok között szerepel.
A Nemzetközi Büntetőbíróság 2024 novemberében adott ki elfogatóparancsot Benjamin Netanjahu izraeli miniszterelnök, volt védelmi minisztere, valamint a Hamász több tisztviselője ellen a Gázai övezetben elkövetett háborús bűncselekmények vádjával.

A Németországból kiutasított menedékkérő egy 40 ezer fős kisvárosban készült merényletre, de a német rendőrség meghiúsította a támadást.
A német hatóságok kitoloncolták az országból azt a 20 éves iraki férfit, aki terrortámadást tervezett egy forgalmas Téli (karácsonyi) vásáron – számolt be a Die Welt. A férfit határozatlan időre kitiltották Németországból.
Az ideiglenes tartózkodási engedéllyel ott élő férfit november 21-én vették őrizetbe egy Braunschweig közelében fekvő kisvárosban, Helmstedtben. Az alsó-szászországi tartományi bűnügyi hivatal szerint a rendőrség olyan jelekre bukkant, melyek egyértelművé tették, hogy a férfi súlyos merénylet elkövetését tervezi.
„A rendőrség nagyfokú éberségének köszönhetően sikerült meghiúsítani a támadást. A sikeres kitoloncolás több hatóság magas szintű együttműködésének eredménye” – mondta Tamara Zieschang, Szászország-Anhalt CDU-s belügyminisztere.
A német kormány tavaly nyáron szigorította a bűnözővé váló elutasított menedékkérők kitoloncolására vonatkozó szabályokat.
A napokban több embert is letartóztattak Németországban, Dániában és Hollandiában is, akiket azzal gyanúsítanak, hogy a Hamász nevében európai zsidó célpontok elleni terrortámadásokra készültek. A három érintett európai ország hatóságai egyelőre nem árultak el részleteket a tervezett támadásokról.
„Rendkívül komoly ügyről van szó. Már évek óta látjuk, hogy élnek Dániában olyan emberek, akik nem akarnak jót nekünk. Akik a szabadságunk és a dán társadalom ellen vannak, minden ellen, ami ezzel jár” – mondta Mette Frederiksen dán miniszterelnök a meghiúsított támadással kapcsolatban.

Facebook-bejegyzésben tette közzé Nacsa Lőrinc a magyar Kereszténydemokrata Néppárt (KDMP) országgyűlési képviselője, hogy őt is kitiltották Ukrajnából.
Ma délelőtt meghívásra és adományok átadásának szándékával szerettem volna Kárpátalja több településre menni. A határon az ukrán hatóság közölte, hogy egy korábbi döntés alapján 3 évre ki vagyok tiltva Ukrajnából, majd egy határozatot is kézhez kaptam erről. Szomorúnak tartom, hogy az együttműködés keresése helyett ilyen eszközökhöz folyamodik szomszédunk, hiszen ez nem járul hozzá fennálló vitás kérdéseink rendezéséhez. Továbbra is a magyar közösség érdekében a megegyezésben és a jó szomszédi viszonyban vagyunk érdekeltek, de ehhez mindkét félre szükség van. A jó hír, hogy a tanszereket és a többi adományt sikerült eljuttatni Kárpátaljára.

Felfüggesztett szabadságvesztést, Magyarország területéről való határozott idejű kitiltást, vagyonelkobzást indítványozott a Debreceni Regionális Nyomozó Ügyészség azzal az ukrán állampolgárral szemben, aki 200 euróval próbált megvesztegetni egy határrendészt Beregsuránynál.
A bűneset december 20-án történt; a 42 éves férfi jóval túllépte a schengeni államok területén engedélyezett tartózkodás maximális időtartamát (90 nap). A vádirat szerint az ukrán az útlevelébe helyezett összeggel próbálta elejét venni a felelősségre vonásnak, hiszen még februárban lépett az Európai Unió területére. A bűncselekményt maga is elismerte – közölte a vádhatóság.
Amennyiben a Nyíregyházi Törvényszék december 23-án az ügyészségi indítványnak megfelelően határoz, a férfi a vesztegetésre szánt 200 eurót is elveszítheti.
