Kokaincsempész-bandára csaptak le a spanyol és a kolumbiai hatóságok Kolumbiában, a razziák során 26 embert őrizetbe vettek – jelentette be hétfőn az Európai Unió rendőrségi együttműködési szervezete, az akcióban támogatást nyújtó Europol.
A hágai székhelyű uniós szervezet tájékoztatása szerint a két, júniusban végrehajtott akcióban mintegy 70 kilogramm kábítószert, 245 ezer eurónyi készpénzt, 13 járművet és három lőfegyvert is lefoglaltak, valamint sikerült felderíteni a bűnszervezet által használt droglabort is.
A kolumbiai és spanyol állampolgárokból álló bűnbandát egy korábban feloszlatott kolumbiai félkatonai szervezet, a Bloque Central Bolívar egyik tagja vezette.
A nyomozás során fény derült arra, hogy a banda Kolumbiából gyümölcsszállítmányokban csempészte a kokaint a spanyolországi Malagába.
Az Europol a vizsgálatot a többi között igazságügyi szakértőkkel segítette.
A bűnüldöző szervek adatai szerint az utóbbi időben nőtt a száma és a kapacitása azoknak a droglaboroknak, ahol a kokaint egyre bonyolultabb módszerekkel dolgozzák fel, hogy a fogyasztók számára elérhető állapotba (kokain-hidroklorid) hozzák.
A nyers kokaint általában valamilyen hordozóanyagba, sok esetben faszénbe rejtve szállítják Európába, csökkentve annak a veszélyét, hogy a tengeri és a légi belépési pontokon rábukkanjanak.

Pablo Escobar a valaha volt legismertebb és legnagyobb drogkereskedő volt, aki pályája csúcsán annyi pénzzel rendelkezett, hogy a világ leggazdagabb emberének mondhatta magát. Az idő múlásával egyre több megdöbbentő információ derült róla ki, valójában mennyire kegyetlen férfi is volt, akinek az emberi élet nem sokat ért.
Mint arra sokan számítottak, fiatalon, 44 évesen hunyt el, egy nappal a 44. születésnapja után Medellinben, Kolumbiában. Több teória is terjed a haláláról, a hivatalos szerint menekülés közben végeztek vele. 1993. december 2-án hunyt el, de a tettei ellenére is sokan gyászolták, főként azok, akiknek otthont biztosította vagyonából, mert nem egy kerületet húzott fel az évek során.
Most kiderült, hogy letartóztatták az egykori társát Medellinben, egy luxusvillában. A férfit kábítószer-kereskedelemmel vádolják, aki egykor a legendás drogbáróval üzletelt, de ő életben maradhatott. Egy nemzetközi akció részeként fogták el a férfit, amiről a spanyol rendőrség adott ki közleményt szombaton – írja a Reuters.
A gyanú szerint a férfi kötött össze a helyi kereskedőket az olaszországi székhelyű Ndrangheta és a Hollandiában tevékenykedő Mocro maffia bűnszervezetekkel. Escobarral a 80-as és a 90-es évek között működött együtt, de nem tudták évtizedekre börtönbe zárni. Egy rendőrségi forrás szerint Julio Andres Murillo Figueroa az, akit letartóztattak, és akire hosszú börtönbüntetés várhat öregkorára.

Kolumbia csendes-óceáni partjainál kokainnal teli tengeralattjárót fedeztek fel véletlenül a hatóságok, amikor eltűnt halászok után kutattak.
A tisztviselők szerdán bukkantak rá a tengeralattjáróra, amelyen négy ember tartózkodott és mintegy 4 tonna kokaint szállítottak – írja a Sky News.
A járművet a kolumbiai haditengerészet és légierő, valamint a Ecuador haditengerészete fogta el.
„Az akcióval megakadályoztak több mint 137 millió dollár kézre kerülését a kábítószer-kereskedő szervezetekhez, valamint több mint 10 millió adag kokain forgalomba hozatalát a világban” – közölte a kolumbiai haditengerészet.
Az 15 méter hosszú tengeralattjáró mintegy 205 csomag kokaint szállított. A hatóságok szerint a kábítószer mindenféle formájú és méretű csomagokban volt elrejtve.
A hajó fedélzetén tartózkodó négy személyt letartóztatták, a 4,5 tonna kokaint lefoglalták – számolt be az Origo a Fox News nyomán.

Kolumbiában az államfő hívei csütörtökön megostromolták a legfelsőbb bíróság épületét Bogotában, miután a bírák bejelentették, hogy nem sikerült szavazniuk az új főügyész személyéről.
Gustavo Petro elnök több ezer híve vonult utcára országszerte, akik új főügyészt követeltek Francisco Barbosa helyett. Barbosát azzal vádolják, hogy megpróbálta elmozdítani Petrót a székéből. Petro az X-en tagadta, hogy a szavazás befolyásolására törekedne, valamint azt, hogy ő hívta volna utcára az embereket. Az elnök és Barbosa között hónapok óta feszült a viszony.
A tiltakozások a testület bejelentését követően robbantak ki, mely szerint Francisco Barbosa leköszönő főügyész utódját ismét nem sikerült megválasztani, és legközelebb február végén szavaznak az ügyben.
Az épületbe való behatolás sikertelen volt, melynek főbejáratát eltorlaszolták, egy kijutni próbáló bírót pedig kővel dobáltak meg helyszín beszámolók szerint. összegyűlt tömeget könnygáz bevetésével oszlatta fel a rendőrség.
Januárban az elnök legidősebb fia, Nicolás ellen emeltek vádat, akit azzal gyanúsítanak, hogy kábítószer-kereskedelemből származó pénzeket fogadott el a 2022-es elnökválasztási kampány során.
Francisco Mora szakszervezeti elnök, aki jelen volt a tüntetésen, azt nyilatkozta a sajtónak, hogy követelik a jelenlegi főügyész távozását és új főügyész megválasztását.
A legfelsőbb bíróság elnöke, Gerson Chaverra (aki egyébként szintén bent rekedt az épületben) elítélte a megmozdulást, és kijelentette, nem enged sem a nyomásnak, sem a támadásoknak, sem a fenyegetésnek.

Legkevesebb harminchárman életüket vesztették egy földcsuszamlásban Kolumbiában – közölte szombaton a dél-amerikai ország kormánya.
A szerencsétlenség pénteken történt egy őslakosok lakta területen, az áldozatok többsége gyermek – írta az X mikroblog portálon Francia Márquez alelnök.
A második legnagyobb kolumbiai várost, Medellint Chocó megye székhelyével, Quibdóval összekötő utat átmenetileg lezárták, mert több földcsuszamlás megrongálta – közölte a kormányzó hivatala.
Korábban úgy vélték, hogy mintegy harmincan rekedtek a sártömegek alatt.
A közösségi portálokon és a televíziókon sugárzott felvételeken látni lehetett, amint a hegyoldalról az útra zúduló föld autókat temet be. A katasztrófavédelem szerint harmincöt sérültet szállítottak kórházba.
Egy helyi vezető elmondta, hogy sokaknak sikerült kiszállni a gépkocsijukból és egy házba menekülniük Carmen de Atrato település közelében, de ott egy újabb földcsuszamlás betemette őket. A Csendes-óceán partján fekvő, trópusi erdő borította Chocó megyében nagy mennyiségű csapadék hullott le az elmúlt huszonnégy órában.
A rendőrség közölte: a mentésben együtt dolgoznak a mentőkkel és a katasztrófavédelemmel.
Mintegy ötven katona is a helyszínre érkezett, hogy részt vegyen az eltűntek utáni kutatásban. Gustavo Petro elnök minden rendelkezésre álló segítséget megígért az X-en Chocó megyének.

Alberto Lara védelmi és biztonságpolitikai miniszterhelyettes közlése szerint a hatóságok 219 kokainfeldolgozó laboratóriumot semmisítettek meg idén, 22 százalékkal többet, mint 2022-ben.
Az éves beszámoló ismertetésekor Lara hangsúlyozta, hogy „az országban működő és lakosságot fenyegető illegális fegyveres szervezetek felszámolása érdekében” erőfeszítéseiket a finanszírozási források elleni küzdelemre összpontosítják, azaz „a lánc azon láncszemeinek nyomon követésére, amelyekben a bevételek nagy részét megszerzik”.
A beszámoló többi eleme közül kiemelte, hogy Kolumbiában 11 százalékkal csökkent a nők elleni gyilkosságok, és 16 százalékkal a nők, gyermekek és fiatalkorúak sérelmére elkövetett szexuális bűncselekmények száma.
Ezzel szemben 14 százalékkal nőtt az emberrablásos bűncselekmények és 12 százalékkal a zsarolás miatt letartóztatottak száma a tavalyihoz képest, miközben a bolti lopásos bűncselekmények száma majd negyedével csökkent idén – tette hozzá.
A kolumbiai hatóságok emellett 3442 illegális ásványkincslelőhelyet is bezártak, 1187-gyel többet, mint 2022-ben.
Lara az éves tájékoztató végén bejelentette, hogy a kormány 16 ezer hivatásos katona bevonását tervezi a konfliktus sújtotta térségek biztonságának helyreállítása érdekében, továbbá a városi és vidéki területek biztonságosabbá tételét 20 ezer rendőr bevonásával képzelik el.

Az Egyesült Államok három UH60 típusú helikoptert ajándékozott szerdán a kolumbiai kormánynak, az új Black Hawk helikopterek a kábítószer-kereskedelem elleni műveletek megerősítését szolgálják, de szerephez fognak jutni a vidéki lakosság védelmének ellátásában és a környezetvédelem felügyeletében is.
„Az Egyesült Államok támogatása alapvető fontosságú a kábítószer-kereskedelem elleni küzdelemben” – szögezte le a bejelentéssel kapcsolatban William René Salamanca tábornok, a kolumbiai rendőrség főparancsnoka.
A parancsnok méltatta a két ország közötti együttműködést, amely azt is lehetővé tette a kolumbiaiak számára, hogy a nemzeti rendőrség kábítószer-ellenes igazgatóságának 603 tisztjét, pilótákat és technikusokat képezzenek ki repüléstechnikai, keresési és mentési, hírszerzési, megfigyelési és felderítési, logisztikai, ellátási és az üzemanyagokkal kapcsolatos ismeretekre.
Ez az együttműködési megállapodás alapvető fontosságú egy 51 repülőgépből álló flotta – 47 helikopter és négy Cessna 208-as – ellátása és karbantartása szempontjából – áll a rendőrség közleményében.
A bogotái amerikai nagykövetség és a kolumbiai rendőrség 2018-ban állapodott meg a kábítószer-kereskedelem elleni szorosabb együttműködésről. A légiflotta megerősítésének értéke meghaladja a 12 millió dollárt (4,5 milliárd forint) – tette hozzá Francisco Palmieri, az Egyesült Államok kolumbiai nagykövete.
Kiemelte, Washington már 60 millió dollárral támogatta Bogota kábítószerkereskedelem elleni erőfeszítéseit.
Az Egyesült Államok tavaly 12 Black Hawkot adott át Bogotának.

Legkevesebb egy halálos áldozattal járó erős földrengés rázta meg csütörtökön Kolumbiát. A 6,3 erősségű földrengés epicentruma az amerikai földtani intézet szerint Bogotától 160 kilométerre délkeletre volt.
A földrengést egy 5,7, majd egy 5-ös erősségű utórengés is követte.
A 11 millió lakosú Bogotában pánikot okozott az erős földmozgás, sokan menekültek a házakból a szabadba.
A bogotai tűzoltóság szóvivője elmondta, hogy egy ember akkor lelte halálát, amikor pánikba esve kiugrott egy ház hetedik emeletéről.
A földrengésben a kolumbiai főváros kongresszusának épülete is megrongálódott. A képviselőház plafonjának egy darabja szakadt le, és esett az ülésterembe, ahol szerencsére senki sem tartózkodott.
A földrengés Bogotán kívül más nagyvárosokban, köztük Medellínben és Caliban is érezhető volt.
