Kurdok ezrei tüntettek vasárnap a Szíria északkeleti részén található Kamisliben a török légicsapások, illetve Ankara szárazföldi offenzívával való fenyegetése ellen.
A megmozdulás résztvevői a kurdok zászlaját és Abdullah Öcalan képét lobogtatták, és a török kormányt bírálták. Öcalan a Kurdisztáni Munkáspárt nevű terrorszervezet egyik vezetője, aki börtönben van Törökországban.
Ankara egy hete légi hadműveletet indított a Népvédelmi Egységek (YPG) nevű kurd milícia ellen Szíriában, és a PKK tagjai ellen Irakban. A Karom-Kard fedőnevű hadműveletben legalább 59-en vesztették életüket november 20. óta. A csapások többsége Szíria északkeleti részét érte.
A PKK-t, amely 1984 óta folytat fegyveres felkelést Délkelet-Törökországban, Ankara mellett az Európai Unió és az Egyesült Államok is terrorszervezetnek nyilvánította. Ankara szerint az YPG a PKK bábja, és szintén terrorszervezet. A török vezetés a szíriai kurd milíciát okolja a november 13-ai isztambuli robbantás miatt, amely hat halálos áldozatot követelt.
Eközben a szíria kurd felkelők a nyugati koalíció hatékony szövetségesei voltak az Iszlám Állam nevű terrorszervezet elleni küzdelemben.
2016 és 2019 között Törökország három offenzívát hajtott végre Észak-Szíriában a kurd milíciák ellen. Ankara célja, hogy 30 kilométeres biztonsági zónát hozzon létre déli határa mentén.

Szombaton már harmadik napja folytak a harcok Északkelet-Szíriában az Iszlám Állam (IÁ) dzsihadista szervezet fegyveresei és a kurd erők között, amelyeknek eddig több mint hetven halálos áldozata van – közölte az Emberi Jogok Szíriai Megfigyelőközpontja (OSDH) nevű aktivistahálózat.
A dzsihadisták megtámadták a Haszake városban lévő börtönt, és összecsaptak a helyi kurd biztonsági erőkkel. Az előbbiek 45, utóbbiak 28 embert veszítettek, és meghalt öt civil is – mondta Rámi Abdurrahmán, a Szíria-szerte aktivistákkal rendelkező, de angliai központú szervezet vezetője.
A haszakei börtönben mintegy 3500 feltételezett dzsihadistát, köztük az IÁ vezető beosztású tagjait tartják fogva. Több száz őrizetesnek sikerült kiszabadulnia a börtönből, és néhány tucatnyinak sikerült elmenekülnie is, a többieket elfogták – tette hozzá Abdurrahmán.
De a küzdelem még folytatódik a börtönnél – mondta.
Ez volt az IÁ legjelentősebb támadása azóta, hogy 2019-ben az ellenük megszerveződött nemzetközi erők felszámolták kalifátusukat Szíriában és Irakban. Most már csak néhány tízezer emberük rejtőzködik az iraki-szíriai határvidéken, és hajt végre kisebb támadásokat.

A török légierő tizenhét hónap fegyverszünet után ismét megtámadott meg egy kurd fegyveres csoport által ellenőrzött területet Észak-Szíriában – olvasható az Emberi Jogok Szíriai Megfigyelőközpontja (OSDH) civil szervezet portálján.
A Szíriában erőteljesen jelen lévő és kiterjedt aktivistahálózattal rendelkező OSDH arról számolt be, hogy egy török vadászgép a Szíriai Demokratikus Erők (SDF) nevű kurd-arab milíciaszövetség állásai ellen intézett légicsapást a Szaida nevű faluban, Ain Isza város közelében.
„Ez volt az első légitámadás azóta, hogy Ankara és az SDF-fel szemben álló szíriai csoportok 2019 októberében végrehajtották a Béke forrása kódnevű hadműveletüket” – mondta Rámi Abdel-Rahmán, az OSDH vezetője.
Szíriában sajátos helyzet alakult ki, miután a török kormány az Egyesült Államokkal és Oroszországgal is megállapodás kötött, melynek kövekezményeként leállított hadműveleteit a térségben és elfoglalhatott egy százhúsz kilométer széles és mintegy harmic kilométer mély határszakaszt szíriai területen. Azonban Ain Isza városa és annak környéke azonban a kurd erők kezén maradt, azaz semmilyen befolyással nem rendelkeznek a megtámadott területen a török erők.
Az OSDH szerint a harcok a stratégiai fontosságú település peremén dúlnak.
„Az összecsapások már huszonnégy órája tartanak a két fél között (…) A török erők nehezen haladnak előre, miközben az SDF-nek sikerült megsemmisítenie egy török harckocsit” – mondta Rámi Abdel-Rahmán.
Az SDF szerves részét képező Népvédelmi Egységek (YPG) nevű milíciát Ankara a Kurdisztáni Munkáspárt (PKK) szíriai szárnyának tekinti és terroristának minősíti. Ez a kurd milícia azonban a nemzetközi dzsihadistaellenes szövetség támogatásával élén jár az Iszlám Állam (IÁ) szélsőséges csoport elleni szíriai fegyveres harcban.

A Kurd Népvédelmi Egységek (YPG) nevű milícia ellen végrehajtott akcióban Törökország – vasárnap délután jelentése alapján – egységei 15 kurd harcossal végeztek – közölte a Reuters.
„Hősies kommandósaink újabb csapást mértek a PKK/YPG nevű terrorszervezetekre” – írta Törökország védelmi minisztere a Twitteren.
A törökök azt állítják, hogy az akció „megelőző csapás” volt, mivel a kurdok egy támadást készítettek elő Északkelet-Szíriában az ott állomásozó török katonák és szíriai szövetségeseik ellen.
A török katonák tavaly tavasszal vonultak be Szíriába, és jelentősen visszaszorították a török határ mentén állomásozó kurd milicistákat. Az offenzíva komoly ellentétet eredményezett Törökország és az Egyesült Államok – valamint a NATO – közt, mivel a kurd milicisták az amerikaiak szövetségeseinek számítanak.

Hazaszállították Franciaországba az Iszlám Államhoz csatlakozott francia dzsihadisták gyerekeit – közölte hétfőn a francia külügyminisztérium. Közleményük szerint több árva is van az eddig kurd fennhatóság alatt lévő szíriai menekülttáborokban élő 10 gyerek közt. Eddig 28 gyereket szállítottak haza Franciaországba az Iszlám Állam nevű terrorszervezet 2019-es összeomlása óta.
Fotó: EPA/SEDAT SUNA A terrorszervezet Szíria és Irak részeit magába foglaló kalifátusának bukása után diplomáciai huzavona alakult ki a javarészt kurd menekülttáborokba került, nyugati állampolgárságú dzsihadisták és családtagjaik ügyében a kurd milíciák és a nyugati kormányok közt. Az utóbbiak több alkalommal elutasították, hogy visszafogadják állampolgáraikat, míg a kurdok leszögezték: nem tudnak tovább a foglyaikról gondoskodni.
Jelenleg mintegy 300 gyerek van kurd ellenőrzésű táborokban, akinek a szülei francia állampolgárságúak, az ő esetükben az anya jóváhagyása is szükséges a hazaszállításhoz. A francia kormány adatai szerint mintegy 1700 francia állampolgár csatlakozott a dzsihadistákhoz Irakban és Szíriában 2014 óta. Közülük több százan életüket vesztették, a több mint 300 hazatérőt bíróság elé állították, a többség viszont elmenekült a dzsihadisták által ellenőrzött területekre, például Líbiába.
Franciaország azért ellenzi a dzsihadisták hazatérését, mert az országot 2015 óta sújtó iszlamista terrortámadások többségét Szíriából az Iszlám Állam tervezte meg, és francia dzsihadistákkal hajtatta végre.
Összesen csaknem 12 000 külföldi – köztük 4000 nő és 8000 gyerek – él három menekülttáborban Szíria északkeleti részén, nagyrészük al-Hólban.
Tavaly helyi segélyszervezetek szerint 517 ember, köztük 371 gyerek halt meg a táborban. Nemzetközi segélyszervezetek többször felhívták a figyelmet az ott uralkodó borzasztó körülményekre.

Az iraki határnál, a Washington vezette nemzetközi szövetség támogatásával a Szíriai Demokratikus Erők (SDF) az ország keleti részében hajtóvadászatot indítottak az Iszlám Állam (ISIS) nevű terrorszervezet dzsihadistái ellen – jelentette be a kurd harcosokat is tömörítő SDF pénteken.
A nemzetközi szövetség erőivel és az iraki hadsereggel együttműködve erőink hadjáratot indítottak a „Terrorizmus elrettentése” kódnéven az ország keleti részén, hogy felkutassák az Iszlám Állam terrorszervezet sejtjeit az el-Hábúr folyó, és a szíriai–iraki határ mentén.
Az Iszlám Állam az elmúlt időszakban megnövelte a támadásai számát, ami valós veszélyt jelent a térség stabilisára és biztonságára
– olvasható az SDF közleményében.
Miután az ISIS 2014-ben kalifátust kiáltott ki Szíriában és Irakban, a nemzetközi közösség hadjáratot indított ellene, és a helyi, főleg a kurd milíciákkal vívott harcban az Iszlám Állam egymás után szenvedte el a vereségeket a két országban, míg 2019-ben végül a szervezet összeomlott.
Az illegalitásba vonult dzsihadisták azonban továbbra is véres merényleteket követnek el, egyebek mellett a Homsz és Deir-Ezzór között elterülő közép-szíriai sivatagban. A támadások célpontjai a szíriai hadsereg, valamint a Washington által régóta támogatott kurd erők.
Csütörtökön az Egyesült Államok felszólította a szövetségeseit, hogy folytassák az Iszlám Állam elleni harc finanszírozását az új koronavírus okozta világjárvány miatti gazdasági válság ellenére.
Az Iszlám Állam elleni harcunk folytatódik, és a jövőben is folytatódni fog. Nem üldögélhetünk a babérjainkon
– jelentette ki Mike Pompeo amerikai külügyminiszter.
