Egy 70 éves férfi meghalt egy helikopter-balesetben az angliai Doncaster közelében. Három másik személy – köztük egy 10 éves fiú – könnyebb sérüléseket szenvedett a balesetben. A Dél-Yorkshire-i rendőrség szerint az esetről még csütörtökön kaptak bejelentést, és a helikopter egy mezőn zuhant le.
A rendőrök szerint az egyik utas, egy 70 éves súlyos sérüléseket szenvedett a balesetben, és neki nem tudták megmenteni az életét. „Családja értesült a balesetről, és rendőreink támogatják őket” – közölték.

A brit légi balesetek vizsgálatát végző szervezet, az Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) és a rendőrség párhuzamos nyomozást indítottak az ügyben. Úgy tudni, hogy
a helikopter egy magánrepülés keretében szállt fel, és a baleset előtt nem sokkal a közelben található Gamston repülőtérről emelkedett a levegőbe. Október 6-án, hétfőn a kaliforniai Sacramento Highway 50-es autópályáján lezuhant egy mentőhelikopter. Az eset során három ember súlyos sérüléseket szenvedett. A hírt a Sacramento Bee közölte.
Helyi források szerint a légikatasztrófa helyi idő szerint 19:10 körül történt az autópálya keleti sávjában, a Howe Avenue közelében.
A fedélzeten a pilóta, egy ápoló és egy mentőtechnikus tartózkodott, amely a Reach Air Medical Services tulajdonában állt. A tűzoltóság képviselői szerint mindhárman kritikus állapotban vannak, és a helyi kórházakba szállították őket.

A brit királyi haditengerészet csütörtök délutáni ismertetése szerint a baleset előző nap történt Dorset megye partjainál, ahol a Merlin MK4 típusú helikopter éjszakai repülési gyakorlaton vett részt egy másik, azonos típusú helikopterrel együtt.
A gép, amelyen háromtagú személyzet tartózkodott, a Queen Elizabeth repülőgép-hordozó kötelékébe tartozott. A személyzet másik két tagját a parti őrség közreműködésével kimentették, és kórházba szállították, de a csütörtöki tájékoztatás szerint egyikük sem sérült meg súlyosabban.
A haditengerészet bejelentette, hogy teljes körű vizsgálatot indított a baleset okának kiderítésére.
A Merlin helikoptereket elsődlegesen tengeralattjárók elleni műveletekre fejlesztették ki, de alkalmasak kutató-mentő feladatokra, teher- és csapatszállításra, valamint tengeri járőrözésre is.

22 óra 29 perckor vesztették el a kapcsolatot a géppel. Egy falu közelében zuhant le a helikopter, az incidens körülményeit még vizsgálják. Egyelőre nem érkezett arról információ, hogy mi okozhatta a tragikus becsapódást.

A hatóságok tájékoztatása szerint a sérültek között van a gép pilótája és utasa; egyikük ki tudott szállni a járműből a balesetet követően, a másikat viszont a tűzoltóknak kellett kiszabadítani. Enyhe fejsérüléssel és lehetséges combcsontöréssel kórházba szállították mindkettőjüket.
A szerencsétlenségben megsérült egy autós is, akinek járműve összeütközött a lezuhant helikopterrel. A sofőrt a karambolban kitört ablaküvegek szilánkjai sebesítették meg.
José Luis Martínez-Almeida, a spanyol főváros polgármestere arról számolt be a sajtónak, hogy a légi jármű nem sokkal a baleset előtt szállt fel a madridi nemzetközi kiállítási- és vásárcsarnok (IFEMA) területéről, ahol az elmúlt napokban a European Rotors elnevezésű aviatikai vásár zajlott.
Kiemelte a pilóta ügyességét, aki úgy manőverezett, hogy a helikopter az autópálya középső elválasztó sávjában érjen földet, így elkerülte a jóval nagyobb tragédiát, az egyébként rendkívül forgalmas útszakaszon. A baleset oka egyelőre nem ismert – tette hozzá.
A balesetet szenvedett jármű egy Enstrom 280FX Shark típusú, könnyű helikopter, amelyet egyaránt használnak katonai pilótaképzésben és rendőrségi feladatok ellátására, valamint mezőgazdaságban és kereskedelmi célokra is.

Lezuhant az orosz Szövetségi Biztonsági Szolgálat (FSZB) egyik Mi–8 típusú helikoptere az Oroszország délnyugati részén lévő cseljabinszki területen, a fedélzetén tartózkodó négy személy életét vesztette – közölték az orosz sürgősségi és a légiügyi szolgálatok kedden. A beszámolók szerint csak a négyfős legénység tartózkodott a helikopteren, amely kiképzőrepülést hajtott végre.
A légi jármű Prudnij falu mellett az erdőbe zuhant, a baleset helyszínén tűz ütött ki.

Halálos helikopter-baleset történt Floridában hétfőn, egy tűzoltósági mentőhelikopter lakóépületre zuhant. A balesetben meghalt a helikopter egyik utasa, valamint a lakóház egyik lakója. A rendőrség jelenleg is vizsgálja az esetet.
Floridában helyi idő szerint hétfő reggel lakóháznak csapódott a Broward megyei seriffhivatal helikoptere. A balesetben két ember meghalt – írta a BBC.
A baleset egy Fort Lauderdale-től északra fekvő repülőtér közelében történt, a gép épp egy segélyhívást kapott, ezért szállt fel a levegőbe.
A Szövetségi Légiközlekedési Hivatal (FAA) megerősítette, a helikopter fedélzetén három ember tartózkodott, egyikük nem élte túl a tragédiát. Mint írták, az áldozat a Broward seriff hivatal kapitánya, Terryson Jackson volt.
A Sky News értesülése szerint az érintett lakóház egyik lakója is meghalt.
A repülőgép-szerencsétlenség két sérült áldozatát kórházban ápolják, ők nincsenek életveszélyes állapotban – tudta meg a CNN.
A helyi rendőrség egyelőre nem adott bővebb tájékoztatást, jelenleg is vizsgálják az esetet.
A balesetről készült felvétel szerint a helikopter hatalmas füsttel égett a levegőben, majd hirtelen pörögni kezdett, végül pedig lezuhant a földre, egyenesen a Pompano Beach-i lakóházba.
