Manipulált alvázszámú gépkocsival akarta elhagyni Magyországot egy ukrán férfi.
A beregsurányi közúti határátkelőhelyen jelentkezett kilépésre egy gépkocsival közlekedő ukrán állampolgár 2021. október 13-án. Az alapos ellenőrzést végző rendőrök megállapították, hogy a 22 éves férfi által vezetett Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 315 CDI típusú mikrobusz alvázszámát meghamisították.
A jármű további vizsgálata során kiderült az eredeti alvázszáma, mely alapján az autót az olasz hatóság a Schengeni Információs Rendszerben körözi. A rendőrök a külföldi férfit egyedi azonosító jellel visszaélés bűncselekmény megalapozott gyanúja miatt a Vásárosnaményi Rendőrkapitányságra előállították. A rendőrség a gépkocsit lefoglalta és a további eljárás során felvette a kapcsolatot a körözést kibocsátó hatósággal.

A Csapi Határőrosztag sajtószolgálatának közleménye szerint egy Renault márkájú gépkocsi adatainak ellenőrzésekor működésbe lépett az Interpol adatbázisa.
A jármű volánjánál egy 30 éves moldovai állampolgár ült. Az Interpol megerősítette, hogy az autót, egy 2015-ös gyártmányú Renault-t Franciaországban 3 éve lopottként jegyzik.
A határőrök azonnal tájékoztatták az esetről az Interpol Ukrajnai Irodáját és a Nemzeti Rendőrséget. A gépkocsit és a dokumentumokat átadták a rendőröknek.

Szeptember 1-én a Tisza határátkelőre érkezett egy Volkswagen Golf típusú jármű, melynek sofőrje Ukrajna felé tartott. A gépkocsit egy 71 éves litván állampolgár vezette.
Az autó okmányainak ellenőrzése során bedolgozott az Interpol rendszere. A határőrök azonnal értesítették az Interpol ukrajnai munkatársait és a nemzeti rendőrséget. Mint kiderült, a 2005-ös kibocsátású személygépkocsit 12 éve lopták el Olaszország területén.
A rendőrség lefoglalta a járművet, az ügyben eljárást indítottak.
